    About this property

    Pet Friendly and Peaceful Setting!

Family-friendly cottage with water park and outdoor pool
This quiet house is snuggled back away from the Leonard boulevard with a beautiful view of the valley. The homes' history suggests it used to be a carriage house! The main house used to be a parsonage, but behind the main house is our carriage (guest) house, so the servants quarters would have been above the lower carriage storage on the second floor. This is where you, our house guests, will sleep. There is a fully furnished kitchen and bath (shower only) with comfortable seating on the upper and main floors. Outdoor seating behind the house and on the back patio helps you relax while watching nature and listening to the outdoor sounds. Within walking distance to the local Lamont Park and historical cemetery, you can take short walks around our little town. The house is currently showing it's "age" and we have plans to renovate the attic space. Please keep in mind this is a VERY OLD house and it will not be perfect. There are cracks/paint touch ups and small repairs that need to be done during the winter months when the prime vacation season is finished. But its' imperfections add character, right? The pool (open June - August), fire pit and sports court are available for our guests.
Air-conditioned accommodations at this cottage offer private pools and DVD players. Rooms open to patios. Kitchens offer refrigerators, stovetops, microwaves, and separate dining areas.

Bathrooms include showers and hair dryers. Additionally, rooms include coffee/tea makers and irons/ironing boards.

Recreational amenities at the cottage include an outdoor tennis court, a water park, an outdoor pool, and a fitness center.

The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or nearby; fees may apply.

    5/5 Excellent

      Great pool access

We would definitely stay again, if in the area. Our kids loved having the large pool right outside the door as well as the parks near by.

      5/5 Excellent

        Peaceful Location

The property is in a quiet rural setting and the pictures of the carriage house are very accurate (with one exception see below). The landscaping and setting were very nice. Place was clean and onsite owners were non-intrusive. Bed was decently comfortable, and the upstairs was cozy. The window AC unit was very loud (we used a fan the second night) and the property did have a difference from what was advertised as it pertains to the view. We were looking forward to a peaceful nature view as indicated in the video, especially as a tranquil get-away during the quarantine, but there was a house being built on the acreage, so that was a bit disappointing. It took away a bit from my plan to relax outside with a book, some tea, and the view. We found a cute home-town ice-cream shop within a few miles and it was not too long a drive to get to some Dunes and to Holland. Little touches in the carriage house were nice, such as a basket of toiletries, a kurig, and plenty of utensils/measuring cups, etc.

        5/5 Excellent

          Really Interesting historic place!

It was a really nice stay.. loved the history behind the property! Very Well kept for being almost 200 years old. There’s a crawl space in the place that must have some interesting stories behind it! Definitely ntely would stay again!!

              Quite nice

Very nice owners. That are very accommodating. My son loved watching the construction going on behind their property. Can see but doesn't effect your stay. Very quaint and nice stay.
