Enjoy a relaxing vacation on the water at Slackwater! By definition, Slackwater is a period of time in a body of tidal water when the water is completely unstressed. Unstressed is exactly how guests will feel in this new 4 bedroom 4 bathroom home which features ample living space with two expansive floors and over 2000 square feet in the prime West Beach area of Gulf Shores.  Located in the Pass Time Community, Slackwater is just steps from both the Gulf beach and a local favorite beach Little Lagoon Pass. This low-density community has a sparkling pool shared by only nine homes! With the pool directly outside the door and newly constructed fishing pier, guests can experience what Gulf Shores has to offer without leaving the home! If activity is your thing, Slackwater is just a five minute drive to the center of town for dining, shopping, and entertainment. 
 

About Slackwater

Slackwater is the perfect beach home for your large family or even multiple families, with ample space for 12 guests and parking for up to 4 cars. On the main level, beautiful beachy decor, a wide open floor plan, and wall-to-wall windows are the cornerstone of coastal elegance. Plenty of seating and an extra-large TV provide an excellent space for entertaining and relaxing all while overlooking the gorgeous Little Lagoon. The fully stocked kitchen has counter space for preparing meals for a crowd and the window overlooking the pool brings the outside in. On the huge covered deck, relax in the captains chairs and enjoy the breeze! The main floor also features one bedroom with a king sized bed and TV as well as one full bathroom with a walk in shower. 
 
Moving upstairs, the huge master suite has its own private balcony with plenty of seating and a great view of the water. Sit outside and relax before bed to the sounds of the beach. Guests will also find a TV and expansive master bathroom with dual sinks and a tub/shower combo. Across the hall is another king bedroom with TV and private bathroom. Finally, down the hall is the kids' retreat, a bunk room equipped with a TV, DVD player, private full bathroom and two sets of bunk beds, one full and one twin to sleep 6.  
 
Outside Slackwater, guests are just steps to a local favorite beach, Little Lagoon Pass. The Pass is the perfect swimming spot for families with children, featuring beautiful white sand, sparkling shallow water, and the perfect location to launch a kayak for a day of fishing. Speaking of fishing, follow the paved walking path to the brand new fishing pier, stretching 100+ feet out over the lagoon and enjoy a day of reeling them in! Bring a propane tank and grill up your catch on the large gas grill provided for guest use. 
 
Guests can even access the beautiful Gulf WITHOUT CROSSING A STREET! A few steps beyond the Lagoon Pass beach leads to the sandy shores of the Gulf! Simply follow the walking path below the bridge and find yourself directly on the beach! The prime location of this gorgeous new home along with its expansive interior, sparkling pool, and easy access to TWO beaches and a fishing pier make Slackwater the perfect location for your family vacation.

My family stayed here for the Sand in My Boots festival. Gorgeous property with easy access to the beach and a short drive to everything. We thoroughly enjoyed it!!

Perfect Beach Getaway

We had a fantastic time during our stay in Gulf Shores with this home being ideally located near the lagoon, fishing pier, and beach! Beautifully decorated, clean, and stocked with everything we needed. Loved enjoying the lagoon views from the wonderful decks, and the pool is an added bonus. Looking forward to going back!

We had such a great time at Slack Water. It was perfect for our family and friends. Great sunsets over the bay every night and fun days at the beach. The water was so clear and beautiful. We can’t wait to come back next year!

Awesome place

Check-in was easy, and the property was clean and in a great spot. Communication from property management was also great. My only complaint was there wasn’t any extra toilet paper, paper towels, or dishwasher detergent. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Family Vacation

Nice property, had a great vacation with the family. Pool was nice, walk to the beach under the bridge made it easy to get to the beach without having to worry about traffic. Was a very relaxing vacation and we all had fun. Would definitely recommend to others. Close proximity to all the restaurants down town, but away from the hotel/high rise complexes which would have made the beaches pretty busy. Look forward to coming back to the area and would look at re-booking this house if available.

Amazing place to stay

We had an amazing time on our vacation! The property was perfect and in a great location. The kids loved the swimming pool which was right outside our door. The kitchen was equipped with everything imaginable: crockpot, blender, griddle, etc. We only ate out one meal the whole week! There was a cabinet full of games, books and puzzles for rainy days or hot afternoons.

Nice property

We had a nice family vacation in Gulf Shores. Property was well maintained and looked just like the pictures on the listing. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach. 2 of the toilets weren't working properly when we arrived, but had a plumber come promptly to fix the issue. They did have some beach items to use, unfortunately several chairs were broken, so couldn't use them. Overall, we had a great stay.

great location for two families

We had a total of 5 small kids(under the age of 5!) and this was a great location. they had all the outdoor stuff we needed. easy walk to the lagoon "beach" area and just a little further for the actual beach. check and check out were easy. the only complaint was there were no trashbags or paper towels when we arrived. this was easily solved the next day once we were able to make a grocery run but it would have been nice to have a few trash bags handy.

Annual Family Vacation

Our Family vacation was wonderful even though rain each day but still got in beach time. The home is perfect for our family of 11. The kitchen was very functional along with enough dishes for the adults and kids. Enjoyed the convenience of restaurants and shopping when needed. Wished the beach access was a little closer but was an easy walk. Kids loved having the pool across the parking lot. Thanks for moving the grill out under the deck. Appreciated that we could take all 3 cars. Outside garbage can was full when we got there so not sure who is to empty? Highly recommend.

Family Vacation

Beautiful area and away from the high rises which made the beach less crowded. Easy access to the beach by walking under the bridge. We used the wagon and beach toys nearly everyday. The wagon made it so much easier to haul all the stuff to the beach (coolers, towels, chairs, toys, etc.). Short drive to all the restaurants. Great property, kids loved the bunk beds. Pool was nice and kids enjoyed it along with the beach. Fridge was not working properly first night, but they came out right away and fixed it. They were right on top of things whenever we needed something, which took the worry off of us so we could enjoy the trip. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends who want to visit this area.
