Nice hotel to stay in Hammamet

Pros: The beach area is lovely
Cons: The WIFI only available at the lobby. And 5 dinar for 1 hour. And you don't really know the full 1 hour!
Location: The location is great, the beach is really nice and you are not far from the old Hammamet.
Nice hotel. The room and the bathroom are clean. We got a room with a really nice view on the swimming pool and the sea. It's a good hotel to spend time at the nice swimming pool and the beach. The staff were really nice, helpful and friendly. But for your information, lots of local Tunisian people can spend the day at the hotel. So be aware that's not easy to have a sitting place around the pool. Also it's not really quite, lots of children spend all day in the pool! Go to the beach if you want a more quite place. One thing that can be irritating is some guys talking to you easily and really hard to tell them you don't want to talk with them! You would expect not meeting this kind of guys at the hotel!

Not a 5 stars hotel standards

Pros: Beautiful & spectacular beach
Cons: The food
Location: Well located in Hammamet, walking distance to the town center
The hotel building & furniture are outdated and badly needs refurbishment. The room smell the moist & humidity. The bedroom is not clean. Broken and Out of work fridge. Definitely the hotel & service quality do not match 5 star standards, but rather 3 stars.

My Horrible stay at Royal Azur

Pros: location, Pool area, Spa
Cons: the staff working there
Location: Nice location in center of hammamet and near nice restaurents, as taxis are available at any time.
Really bad experience in hotel: * Rooms not for 5 stars hotel, not enough tv chanel, they dont control the firdge if you need more water or no, the fridge door broken, no prices any where of extra drinks in room. * House keeping with no greetings to guest, she dont ask if she may keep clean the room or come back if you're back in room while she is cleaning. if you give salutations and ask what's wrong with, they say we are tiered. * Reception not really professional asking Id card for my wife in our wedding day coming back to hotel while they do have already reservation and name. no woman has her Id card in hand in her wedding day. * They dont know what is really check out and they mix days counting 4 days instead of 3 days. * If you want put advises for hotel or reclamation the receptionist say you could come yesturday to say it to the manager. when their role as there was no guest relation is to collect this and then pass it to the manager. * the staff working on the beach should'nt work there, they ask the real guest their room's key arguying with a very rude attitude but leave some boys coming from no where playing with very dirty words, disturb the young ladies without interfering. * Thanks to the staff of bar, animation, bell boys and snack beach.. sympatic, calm and very helpfull. * The location is wonderfull and the pool area is so nice as tunisia is a lovely secure country, but the manager of the royal azur should make training course in hospitality for the staff.

Very plaisant stay

The political situation in Tunisia is quite safe this year. But there are realy few foreign tourists and this fact is real advantage for this year: the beach is empty, as well as the restourants. But in return there are no any animation in the hotel. This year I recommentd to go to Tunisia for wellnes: SPA & beach: the prices are very comfortable and Tunisia are realy waiting for tourists.

A clean friendly hotel easy access of main town without being in the thick of it

This is a friendly hotel within easy walking distance of all the main Hammamet sights. The reception area is beautiful and the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the buffet beakfast and dinner were superb. we would particularly recommend the Tunisian Muscat wine (it is not sweet). The liitle cafe opposite the hotel was not much to look at but ideal for a cheap lunch and very clean. This was an ideal time to visit as the hotel was not too busy. Tipping ensures good service. The hotel arranged golf tee times and free transfers to world class courses. We would also recommend the Shiatsu masage at the spa. We also arranged a ful day private tour to Carthage through the hotels English Rep Liz well worth the money. Be prepared to haggle where ever you go we got some real bargains.

great staff, helpful and spoke many languages, tours were OK, food - buffet style big selection and good quality, extremely clean, pool and beach was very nice and clean, nice and easy location to center of town.

Schöne Zimmer mit Aussicht, Zimmer komfortable und sauber, safe funktionieren nicht, gute Klimanlage im Zimmer, Essen gut und sauber, Service Mangel: die Bedienung beschwert sich ständig über deren schlechten Konditionen
