Description:
detached house isolated without neighbors. A very large living room with unlimited view around with fully equipped kitchen area, a table for 6, and a sofa bed for an extra person.
Bedroom with a double bed, another bedroom (summer lounge - with exit to garden) with 2 beds, and a mattress on mezzanine for children.
It is a house for a peaceful holiday and built in a very personal taste of artist.
Ideal for a family, small group of friends. meditation and quiet, for outdoor activities, there is a 1.40 deep pool, and a garden around with aromatic plants.
 10 minutes from the beaches and the shopping center, 15 km from the city of Heraklion and the archaeological site of KNOSSOS. to 7 kms are, water park, an aquarium, golf.
Water sports - including jet skis, banana rides, skiing, diving, parasailing. Loungers, bars and restaurants.

The owner lives on the ground floor, with independent entrance to the other side of the property, without opposite with the house, the garden and the swimming pool. Very discreet with the visitors, .

Peace and quiet

Margarita was the perfect hostess. Excellent directions to the property and she escorted us the last bit so we wouldn't get lost. The property was perfectly presented with everything you could need. Some of the outdoor seating was a little older and tireder than the online photos but still perfectly useable. Perfect property if you want complete peace and quiet and privacy. Margarita was available for any questions we had but she was not at all intrusive. It's a traditional Cretan villa, equipped as a home rather than as a tourist place. The pool was lovely with fresh water for each new letting.

Zwei wunderschöne Wochen bei Margarita

Wir verbrachten zwei wunderschöne Wochen in Margaritas gemütlichem Ferienhaus, das idyllisch im Olivenhain liegt. Besonders unsere Töchter haben den Pool und die große Terrasse und natürlich Margaritas Gastfreundschaft genossen. Dieses Haus ist der ideale Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge (mit dem Auto) in die Umgebung, wie zB Hiraklion, Knosso, Malia, Strand in Gouves, usw. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Seven days in real crete

This lovely villa located in the hills above Gouves differs from almost all of the other villa's offered on this website. It offers a real taste of Cretan living as it was designed by Mergarita, it's owner as her own home. It is in a beautiful location overlooking the sea in the distance and the olive groves nearby. The villa is open plan with a separate bedroom, bedroom annex and attic level bedroom. The external space is furnished with recliners and dining table and chairs and a small but well maintained (and used) swimming pool. A section of the rear of the external area is canopied for shade which is most welcome. Our family of three children and the two of us enjoyed our seven days here. The location is ideal for all the tourist activities and secluded enough for relaxing without the noise of any other holiday makers. The water park is 10 minutes away and the nearest village is literally 100 yards from the end of the drive. Mergarita lives in a small apartment below the villa and is very welcoming and charming. She is so full of live and what a life she has lived! We really enjoyed her company and had a lovely evening in her company chatting about life, loves and wooden toys!! Do not be put off by any spurious negative comments regarding this villa. It a lovely location, a great building and presented with clean sheets and a very warm welcome. The view from the toilet window is just something else!! If you are seeking a different experience from other villas, then look no further...this is the one for you!

Beautiful location

This was a revisit to Margarita's for us. Last year we brought the kids. This year we had it all to ourselves. The location is exceptional - it's what made us come back. The view from the large terrace is beautiful and the very private pool is ideal on days when the wind picks up and makes the sea a little too rough or just for relaxing by after a day's exploring. There is a very friendly little taverna called Sanida in the village (Kalo Chorio) in the square next to the church and we walked down to it several times. The food is very local as is the wine and raki and you will struggle to eat more cheaply anywhere on the island. Margarita is lovely. Very warm and welcoming and always available if you have any questions. The property is full of her character and artworks and I recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere a little more secluded. Car essential.

La prestation ne correspond pas du tout au prix demandé

A part le cadre et l'emplacement, tout est à revoir. A notre arrivée, nous avons la surprise de constater que la propriétaire habite l'appartement du dessous. Elle possède 2 chiens de garde dangereux et attachés. Lors de la première nuit, les chiens n'ont cessé d'aboyer sous nos fenêtres ! Elle a consenti à les éloigner un peu. A toute occasion du jour et de la nuit, ces chiens aboient. La maison est sale, crasseuse. Les matelas sont tachés, les draps fournis sont souvent troués, et la plupart rapiécés. Malgré l'annonce, un seul WC utilisable dont le réservoir est alimenté par un filet d'eau..Une chasse d'eau toutes les demi-heures (nous étions 4...)!!! A notre arrivée, la piscine est sale et la pompe de filtration ne marche pas. 17 jours plus tard, le problème n’était toujours pas résolu. A ce jour, la piscine n'est plus qu'un bouillon de culture ! Nous avons donc payé pour une prestation avec une piscine dont nous n'avons pas pu profiter ! Malgré nos récriminations, la propriétaire n'a jamais voulu nous dédommager . Les photos de l'annonce ne sont plus en rapport avec l'état actuel de la maison. Comparativement à d'autres maisons que nous avons louées en Crète, cette maison ne mérite pas plus de 60 euros par jour !

Wunderschönes Haus in absoluter Alleinlage

Das Besondere an diesem Haus ist die einsame Lage auf einem Hügel. Durch bodentiefe Fenster hat man aus Wohn- und Schlafzimmer und sogar aus dem Bad einen grandiosen Blick auf Berge und Meer. Die über 200 qm große Terrasse mit Pool zur alleinigen Nutzung bietet diverse Sitzmöglichkeiten zum Entspannen in absoluter Ruhe, und auch hier darf die Aussicht natürlich nicht fehlen. Trotz der einsamen Lage sind der "Kreta-Ballermann" Chersonissos (wer's denn braucht) und die Inselhauptstadt Iraklion in weniger als 30 Minuten erreichbar. Es ist keine Luxusherberge und auch nicht alles ist perfekt. Aber die Gastfreundschaft und allgegenwärtige Fürsorge von Besitzerin Margarita lässt einen sich sofort zu Hause fühlen. Sie ist Künstlerin und hat Haus und Garten auf sehr eigenwillige Weise in ihrem ganz persönlichen Stil dekoriert. Eines steht schon jetzt fest: nächstes Jahr sind wir wieder da.
