“This was, by far, the BEST place we stayed in all of Iceland on our 30-day visit where we booked 7 different hotels. We basically had the most beautiful 2-bedroom house to ourselves and the cost was unbelievably cheap. We stayed only 2 nights and if I had to do it again, I would have skipped the 3 day hotel in Akureyri and just traveled from here. “The Langvatan Guesthouse was the nicest stay so far during our past 8 days in Iceland. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. The common dining area was very cozy and warm. The washrooms were spacious and clean. The rooms were simple and small, but that's all you really need at night. The breakfast was DELICIOUS! So many options to choose from. “It was a great spot to experience the quiet river and surrounding mountains in northern Iceland. Our tent was well equipped and nicely decorated. The electric heater warmed us up nicely. It was a quiet spot with clean facilities. We also enjoyed breakfast on the property. ”

“This is the standard of a general hotel, but it has no characteristics. There is no problem with receptionist service, but the computer system needs improvement. We paid for the room when we made the reservation, but they said no, it took a long time to find the payment record. The next day when we checked out, another staff member asked us to pay again. Take some time to explain and check again.”
