“Too inconvenient. Inconvenient place, inconvienient service. We lived here for 2nights, Since our reservations were separated, they asked us to change the room at 12pm on the second day and the housekeeper can help us to put our luggage to the new room. Although it took us too much inconvienence, on the second day 12pm nobody came to my room to helped us. So I don't want to back to this Ritz Carlton hotel again. Awful experience.”

“There is so much to be impressed by at this hotel. When walking through the main entrance you are surrounded by Spanish culture. The breakfast has everything you would expect in a big hotel croissants, coffee, cereal, cheeses and meat etc. but in a beautiful Spanish room. There is a sitting room with piano, a small library with table. The room had lots of beautiful furnishings. The balcony had table and two chairs. Everything in the Expedia photos is what you will see.”

“The staff are excellent and were always ready to help. The room was lovely and quiet looking out over the village. We got back from a days walking to sit on the terrace overlooking the valley with a beer, pure heaven. Breakfast was good and parking was never an issue onsite. It’s a steep walk down into the village but the hotel location gives it superb views. ”

“We wanted a charming and cosy hotel, something spesial and it was perfect! Just what we was looking for, with a livingroom were we could have a drink and read a book in the evening. The food in the restaurant was realy good, and also included canarian spesialities.”

“Spacious and well decorated room with pretty wooden furnishings, large covered balcony, extensive sea view and good pool. Checking in and out were smooth and staff very accommodating. Ample secure parking provided but quite an inconvenient location with few amenities, shops or restaurants nearby. Would happily stay again and highly recommend as a more budget-friendly option.”

“For a 1* pension hotel the room I had as a solo traveller was superb !
Good sized room, sink, fridge, and balcony was just perfect.
Also the property has clearly been renovated as everything appeared new and the common WC/ shower rooms are very modern with a very hot power shower.
Raphael and Carlos keep the property spotlessly clean and do a great job.
I highly recommend Pension Alcala, but its best to try and book a room with a balcony
