"I made a mistake on the dates when I reserved this room. I actually showed up a week early. The owner said no problem and gave us beautiful room. The building was the former city hall and they have completely remodeled the building into a great hotel. Rooms look brand new, spacious with the nicest attached bathroom that I have ever seen in a hotel. This is a wonderful hotel. You can not go wrong with this hotel! We loved it!"

"This hotel is well positioned to get to the centre and the Menin Gate, bith being easily walkable. Check-in was easy and breakfast had a vast choice. The rooms were clean, neat and spacious. The only issue we had, along with our sons who were in another room was the air conditioning was pretty poor. This wouldn't normally be an issue except there is a currently a Europe wide heatwave. All in all, good value for money and perfect as a base."

"All staff offered great service and were very welcoming. We were offered chance not to have roomed cleaned during our stay. I am not convinced it's a good idea as you then have to ask for water for your room and top up tea/coffee etc. I also like my bed to be made each day. The staff go the extra mile to ensure you enjoy your stay so this is no way a criticism. We truly had a great time , food & drink excellent thanks"

"Lovely hotel in the centre of Ypres, close enough to the Menin Gate to hear The Last Post if you leave the window open. Staff are great, really helpful and the breakfast is awesome. Bonus points for the bed being big enough to play tennis on. This was our second visit and we're due back there at the end of this week."

"A boutique hotel that was truly awesome! I contacted the owner to alert him of my ETA the evening before & he rapidly replied with my room # & provided all necessary access info. Manteka Logies is very well located, virtually beside the tourist office & the Flanders Field Museum. The room had a comfy bed, a bar fridge, Nespresso coffee maker (or another brand that worked the same way), several coffee pods, creamers, sugar, a small kettle & an assortment of tea. There was a quaint, small seating area that worked very well for me - I could spread my things out. I was unaccustomed to the controls for lights, AC, etc but quickly figured it out. I had already been invited to contact the owner at any time through my stay if I had any issues or wanted anything. I met him 2 days before my departure & we had a lovely chat - a very friendly man. He asked me how I was enjoying Ypres/Ieper & did I want fresh towels or more coffee. I took him up on the coffee pods offer - excellent coffee, in my opinion! Truly top drawer, cozy & very handy to the medieval part of the city! While I did not try out his restaurant right next door, one should know it exists. QR code on the front door allows for online reservations. It seemed busy enough while I was there so that's a good sign. I just had other plans. I would stay at Manteka Logies again if I return to Ypres/Ieper, Belgium!!"
