The indoor pool looked great, although I didn't have a chance to swim.
Unfortunately, the room was not worth the hype.
* USB connectors didn't charge - terrible when they started charging and quit before any device had been charged. It was hard to make calls from a dead cell phone or use my watch.
* TV in bedroom didn't get all channels that living area had, nor was there a channel guide, which got fixed the afternoon of my second day.
* The sleeper sofa was so old and used it was too soft to
sit in, let alone get up from it.
* Ice machine on 3rd floor was broken, completely missing from the 2nd floor, finally found ice on the main level.
* Main floor coffee machine was broken and the mini-coffee pot in the room (which was terrible) was the only alternative. It was fixed the second morning.
* Staff - The day Manager was not very friendly. She didn't speak unless I directly said, "Good morning." Then she mumbled it back. Never once said, "Hi" when passing and I was there for three days.
* The breakfast offerings were dismal with a shortage of selection - plain bagels only, nasty pre-packaged muffins. The hot food looked OK, but I declined. (The eggs looked as if they had been reconstituted from powder).
* They don't offer daily room clean-up unless specifically asked to have a room "refresh" for linens and trash.
I won't be using the Hampton Inn on my next trip. I'll select a more expensive in hopes of having a better stay.
