Top Ishikawa Insect Museum Hotel Reviews
Tokyu Stay Kanazawa
10/10 Excellent
"Loved the idea of how they have washer/dryer in room. Although ours was broken the staff was kind enough to let us use one in an un occupied room. Great hotel overall."
HOTEL AMANEK Kanazawa

"Excellent breakfast, great position"
Ryotei Manyou
10/10 Excellent
My wife and I stayed at Ryoutei Manyou for 3 nights in June 2026. This allowed visiting the nearby Noto peninsula one day (by private motorcar arranged by the inn) and the lovely city of Kanazawa another day. It was one of the best experiences at a Japanese ryokan we had. We chose one of the better rooms available, which had a private bathtub. The room itself was a duplex, with a Japanese-style dining area above and a spacious bedroom-bath area below. The beds were very comfortable. The design was perfect, allowing our in-room meals to be served while maintaining the privacy of our sleeping area. The hot onsen water flowed 24 hours a day and allowed us to bath at will many times. The bath was open to a garden and allowed us to enjoy the stars at night. The meals were full-course kaiseki dinners and Japanese-style breakfasts of excellent quality. The whole inn and our room were spotlessly clean. The staff was extremely helpful."
Tatsunokuchi Onsen Matsusaki
10/10 Excellent
"This was one of the most incredible experiences we had in Japan. The staff and service level are extraordinary. The 8 or 10 course meals at dinner and breakfast were an unbelievable experience. We traveled with young kids with varying degrees of adventurous eating and the staff was able to prepare dishes that were more western (mini sausages, fries, sunny side eggs). We took a large family suite with a private outdoor hot springs bath and it was gorgeous. The shuttle to the train station is very convenient "
WATAYA
10/10 Excellent
"Wataya = WOW! From the second we arrive... I'm so happy Aaron chose this place. The staff is a family that has owned and operated this wonderful house for 7 generations! We chill in the onsen chatting loudly as we are the only guests today, return to the room to relax looking at the garden during twilight. Dinner is served! We did a poor job at informing them of my friend's restricted diet... The proprieter is so generous! She grabs a frozen pizza from her home to feed my buddy... I'm stuffed by beer, pickled vegetables, traditional soup, local river caught fish displayed alive on skewers then COOKED TO DEATH! Followed by BEAR MEAT! Literal apex predator of the forest in my mouth. It's pretty great. Delightful sliced steak then green tea mousse with some fruit for dessert. We have to hit the onsen before bed. So pleasantl I hit the onsen tub alone, bodywash, hop in and acclimate while watching YouTube. Some pleasuring women, some women behavior, some news. Breakfast is served at 8 as requested. I eat alone as Aaron doesn't want anything they have. Pickled vegetables, river fish, light soup, egg, grilled salmon, local orange and strawberry with fresh rice. Rice milk, water and great coffee! I love this place so much... Return to my room, we take a selfie with the garden, pack up and check out. The proprieter and his mother see us off in a taxi."

"I love the Tanbo no Yu! I can tell that its being fixed up more everytime I come here! This time, really enjoyed the pure stream bath it was very warm and a comfortable place to chat with my husband. The food was delicious and healthy with many flavors and unlimited hokuriku rice! I definitely be back again!"
Kanazawa Kokusai Hotel
