Terrible Hotel — Misleading Description, Dirty Slippers, and a Breakfast Scam
This hotel was absolutely awful and does not deserve four stars. Its Expedia listing is misleading and creates a completely false impression.
1. Misleading description: What looks like beautiful light-colored wood in the photos is actually cheap laminate. The room looks far better online than in reality.
2. Unsafe lighting: The floor lighting is so bright you could read a book at night. It makes sleeping difficult, but turning it off leaves a step invisible in the darkness, creating a serious risk of falling. We had to sleep wearing eye masks!
3. Disgusting slippers: The hotel provides dirty, worn-out slippers with visibly damaged soles. Completely unacceptable!
4. Breakfast SOLD OUT: During our four-day stay, breakfast was available for only two days. The other two days were SOLD OUT! How can a four-star hotel fail to provide breakfast to its guests?
5. Breakfast rip-off: Expensive, tasteless, and ridiculously inconvenient. You must order a day ahead from confusing pictures and unfamiliar Japanese dish names. You receive a fixed box of food with no substitutions or choices. It takes too long to eat and isn’t sufficiently filling. Worse, prepaid breakfasts cannot be canceled or refunded. This feels like a scam.
Final verdict: Cheap materials, unsafe lighting, dirty slippers, and disastrous breakfast service. The hotel misleads guests through its Expedia listing. One of my worst hotel experiences.
