Vacation in the Mountains of Big Canoe, Georgia. Lake house with mountain and golf course views.

Spend your vacation this year in our four bedroom, four and a half bath, Luxury Home. The house also includes two family rooms, a loft that can be used as a 5th bedroom, patio with a large hot tub overlooking the lake, screened porch, and large deck where you can enjoy a view of the lake, pool, golf course, and mountains.

A small dog of 20 lbs or less are allowed. Contact host for details.

Everything you need to enjoy your time at Big Canoe is available to you in our home located on Lake Disharoon. You can wake up to the sound of the Canadian Geese flying overhead and go to sleep listening to the songs of the frogs. Our home has central heat and air as well as ceiling fans in all rooms, but sometimes you don't even need them!

Our house comfortably accommodates a maximum of 10 people including children.

Set in the foothills of the scenic North Georgia Mountains with elevations exceeding 3000 feet lays the enchanted land known as Big Canoe. Be prepared to brake for deer or wild turkey at any given turn in the road.

You can walk out the back door of our house and down the hill to the lake (beach), pool, waterside, and fitness center with an indoor pool. No need to get in the car if you don't want to.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was as stated. We enjoyed the hot tub and found some really nice hiking trails. A short walk down to the beach. Our dog really enjoyed it as well.

Perfect Spot in Big Canoe

We’ve been to Big Canoe numerous times, and Almost Heaven is our favorite rental there. The house had everything we needed, and the hot tub was a fun bonus. The location so close to the Beach Club cannot be beat, especially when you have kids and are there in the summer. Tom is a fantastic host, responsive and kept us up to speed on everything we needed to know.

We enjoyed our extended family stay at this house, and another up the road. This house had plenty of sleeping area, was well clean and well maintained, great location where you could walk down to the beach club, and a communicative and helpful owner. Highly recommended.

Worth every penny. This was possibly the best VRBO experience I have every had. The home is so much better that it looks and the owners are simply amazing. Our hop is to rent here again in the future.

Nice relaxing vacation

Property was just as described. It was perfect for a set of parents, their 2 grown children, and 6 grandchildren. They even had a pack-n-play for the infant. Owner was easy to contact, and even alerted us once when there was a bear sited near the house. One of the lakes/pool areas was able to be accessed by walking down a hill from behind the house, which the kids took full advantage of. There were lifeguards, so the older kids were able to come and go to the pool. We will definitely stay there again.

My family recently returned from a week at Big Canoe and we stayed at "Almost Heaven" and can attest to how wonderful this house was for our vacation. First of all, Tom and Judi are delight to deal with and make every effort to make your stay as perfect as possible. The house was exactly as described and the location could not have been more ideal being only steps away from the beach and pool. If you're looking for another world away from Atlanta without a long drive or hassling flight then you should strongly consider staying at this lovely home.

Beautiful stay

We wanted a quick mini getaway from Chattanooga with our 10, 7 and twin 4month olds. We’ve never been to the area and were excited by the beach, pools and water rock slide in the backyard. The house itself was amazing and the owners went above and beyond the expected to make sure we were settled in. We were disappointed in the surprise fees associated with using the beach, pool and slide. At $20 per person per day, it dampened the excitement a little. Otherwise, it’s a great community to get away from the hectic life for a bit.

Great Long Weekend

We stayed at Almost Heaven for a long weekend, 4 adults and 4 children. Tom was great to work with and he responded quickly to questions. A snow storm had hit the area prior in the week and Tom provided constant updates on the condition of the roads for our Friday arrival. The house had plenty of room and everything we needed for entertainment and cooking. The home is well located in Big Canoe with easy access to the amenities and beach. It was a quick drive to the local grocery store to pick up food for meals. We ate at the clubhouse pub as recommended by Tom. We were very well pleased with the quality and price of the food. This was a great weekend away for the families!
