The resort is in a lovely, intimate, tropical setting. Kathy gave us a little tour and made us feel at home. There are 13 units and they have a fun cottage-like feel for our Key Largo experience. They all are different I believe. I saw two. I had the Kiwi room which is a basic room without a kitchen but we had a little frig and there was a nice basket of fruit and water. Others have kitchens. I had heard about it off a travel podcast. They have kayaks and stand up boards but since we were only there one night on our way to the airport the next day, we didn't try those out. We talked to those who did and they had fun seeing friendly manatees a few feet away. I did enjoy taking a couple dips in the pool and hot tub and love how they overlook the ocean. I went out in the ocean once but there aren't any waves and my water shoes kind of kept sticking in the mud so I didn't stay long. We played some ping pong on the beach, enjoyed the hammock and relaxed in the sun. The main thing I would improve upon the room we had was to have a pillow top pad since the beautiful looking bed was too hard for me. My husband slept fine though. A microwave would have been nice for leftovers, but we did fine. The recommended restaurant across the street, Ballyhoos, had delicious food for our last night in Florida after exploring the Keys.
