Staff were polite during check in. Got to my room and tried to open the door and the handle was broken so I had to push the handle into place to catch the tumblers, oh well right? As long as it locks. Immediately on entry I turn on the light and roaches scattered across the bed closest to the door, apparently there was a meeting on the bed cause there were a bunch. I pulled the sheets back on the other bed and 2 more ran off. I’ve stayed in some shitholes before, but this one was probably in my top 3. Won’t stay here again. I booked on Expedia so I just Simply turned my key in and left.

I'm not gonna lie the room was clean. There are no holes in the wall, no visible bugs crawling inside and no odor when you first walk in. Yes, rooms are ole school, no smart. TV, but uh, you get what you pay for and it is very affordable in a conventional location close to the freeway. But where I was stoic there were too many people lurking around watching everything that you do sitting on the doorsteps, as soon as I opened my door one guy even tried to Bogart his way into my room, when I had the door open for a brief second askin to use my phone to call. hips mama that was odd and weird. But I'm not the type a person to associate with people I don't know, especially since I work hard earning an honest living, and a veteran. I always hold my head up high no matter how low someone try to take me. The people at the front are very nice and professional and yea there is one black female housekeeper who was super sweet. If you do stay here, keep you and your family to yourself. Don't leave anything and I mean, anything important laying around? Keep your doors shut and stay on top of your A Game. The devil is always a liar. If you in the service just getting to hood and have a family dont you stay your ass there. This is for people on strict budgets and as hoodified as me. Take care folks

I am writing to file complaint about my stay at Hallmark Inn in Killeen Texas on Friday, August 28, 2026. I booked my room here on Expedia before I arrived. When I arrived at the property. I requested a smoking room. The lady at the front desk gave me a smoking room. The room I was given should not be rented out to anyone due the condition of the room. It has not been cleaned as there was trash such as food wrappers & containers, there was dirty sheets on one of the beds. It looked like some sort of dried substance like something of an oil base. There was redish color spot on the pillow case, sich as dried food or liquid of some sort.There was dirty towel left in the bathroom floor, there was carpet tacks exposed & sticking up where the hard bathroom area floor meets the bed area, where the carpet begins. It poses a safety hazard as the tacks are very sharp, which I cut my foot on upon exiting the bathroom area. There were also roaches crawling around the floor in the room. When I first arrived in the room, discovered everything mentioned above. I immediately tried calling the front desk, but there was no answer. I did not go back to the office because I was extremely tired & exhausted from driving over 24 hours before arriving & stopping at this motel. I slept on the other bed in the room that was in somewhat better shape. When I went to the first desk first thing this morning to check out & let them know my complaint about my room,they claimed nothing could be do
