“Demetrius is an excellent host. If your looking for an affordable base with the basic amenities in place this is great and exceptional value for your money option. We had two rooms and each had its own kitchen and bathroom which were on the small side but very adequate for needs. Some of the room furnishing could benefit with some updates but for the price you cant argue with it value. Looking for a hotel type resort then this is not the place for you.”

“This is a great choice for a small group of say 3. the villa is spacious and spotless, the private pool is a great luxury and the main pool is also very spacious.
The villas are well equipped and staff very accommodating.
I also think this is a great way to explore the west of the island which isn't popular as the north east.
There are great little beaches near by and of course XI beach.
Good restaurants are a short drive away.
I would say a car is needed.”

“We loved our stay at maria beach house. Having the remetzo village next door and being able to use their facilities was a bonus. We loved the restaurant and ate there several times. The staff were all very friendly. The villa is very comfortable and looked after wonderfully well by the cleaning staff. Fresh towels daily and new sheets regularly. The aircon was particularly good, but the Wi-Fi was very poor. It was non existent when the doors were closed and aircon on. The pool was cleaned daily……

“We were a group of 4 friends, and we loved Antigoni Villa and Remetzo Village. The setting/view is lovely, and the space easily accommodated the 4 of us. We enjoyed being on the less populated side of the island, yet an easy ferry ride from Lixouri to Argostoli, and back again.Our trusty VW Skoda (from RentCarKefalonis) took us all over the west side of the island: Myrtos, Assos, Petanoi, Fiskardo, Sami. There are lovely beaches not far from the Villa--we liked Megas Lakos for it's soft sand,……
