This was my first time staying at a European hotel so I wasn't sure what to expect. Checkin was different from my previous hotel experiences in that your credit card is not taken until you are ready to check out. It's a good thing that one can have payment processed the day before checkout as the front desk does not open until 8AM on the weekends. Keys are simply left at the front desk on the day of checkout if the desk was closed.
I loved the breakfast as it's quite better than the usual continental breakfast. One thing of note is that unless we were using the egg boiler incorrectly, the times listed to cook an egg is incorrect. This is due to the water simply being hot rather than boiling.
Our rooms were nice. The smaller beds were expected but I did not expect the material to be foam. The pillows were a bit soft for me but I was still able to sleep. I've never encountered their style of balcony doors before and the first time I used it was a surprise. Specifically, I did not know that there was a feature where the whole door can been made to lean inside the room in order to allow outside air in without having the door be open enough for a person to get through.
I liked the restaurant and we ate there 4 out of the 6 nights that we stayed at the hotel.
