Summary
Located in the heart of Blackstone Heights, this large, Swiss-inspired, country-style home provides you with the best of both worlds. Situated within spacious, open grounds and natural surroundings, you will receive all of the perks of a rural stay, all whilst being only a 15-minute drive to the Launceston CBD, and a 5-minute drive to the Country Club Casino. This property provides you with the perfect location to sit back and relax, and enjoy precious time with loved ones.
Space
As you arrive at the property, it may feel like you have been transported to the Swiss countryside. This property is surrounded by spacious, well-manicured gardens containing plenty of gorgeous plants and unique architectural designs to admire. No need to worry about parking, this property contains a large horseshoe driveway, accommodating up to five vehicles for all of your friends and family.
As you walk into the private, back entryway, you will find yourself in the backyard, undercover patio area. This area provides you with the perfect space for entertaining and enjoying home-cooked meals, a glass of wine, or watching your favourite tv shows and sports team.
Upon entering the home, you will be greeted by a beautiful staircase, providing you with access to the upper level of the home. While exploring the ground level, you will be delighted with two spacious living areas, both containing plenty of comfortable seating, a TV in each room, and reverse-cycle air conditioners to keep you cosy and warm in the unpredictable Tasmanian weather. The family room, next to the rumpus room, also contains a DVD player and electronic gaming devices to keep the kids, or yourself, entertained throughout your stay. This lovely room also contains a toasty fireplace, for you to cuddle up and enjoy a warm cup of hot chocolate and a good book. The connecting rumpus room contains a table-tennis table for you and the family to enjoy, and maybe even let out those competitive spirits!
The large kitchen is fully equipped, providing you with plenty of space to cook delicious meals, and bar-stool seating to sit at and enjoy plenty of warm cups of tea or coffee. The kitchen flows into the dining space, where you will find a lovely six-seater dining table, providing a space for you to share all of the travel plans and stories with one another. Additionally, the ground floor has a separate toilet area and a combined shower/laundry space for your convenience.
As you make your way upstairs, you will find a study desk that overlooks the front grounds, seating, and a gorgeous floor-to-ceiling mirror occupying the space. All four bedrooms are located upstairs, each containing queen-sized beds with crisp, fresh linen on each, allowing you to get that perfect night's sleep. Each bedroom additionally contains hanging and storage spaces, and additional heating and cooling options for you to choose from. Access to the outside balconies are found in some of the bedrooms, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful views and fresh air. The main bedroom contains a large, adjoining walk-in robe, for those longer stays, and an ensuite featuring an inviting bath to soak in after your travels. An additional bathroom is found upstairs which contains a spacious shower and all other amenities.
We absolutely adore this space, and know that you will too!
Guest Access
Guests have access to the majority of the home. Areas that are not for guests' use are the pantry, one of the upstairs bedrooms, the large shed, and the small, side structure on the right-hand side of the driveway, opposite the house. The fireplace in the main living area is NOT for use. We ask you to please respect the owner's wishes and not enter, or use, these areas.
The Neighborhood
Blackstone Heights is a beautiful, quiet suburb of Launceston, containing both rural and residential areas within. Conveniently located directly across from the property, you will find Blackstone Village. Here you will find an IGA supermarket for your convenience, and a delicious cafe/restaurant to enjoy. This shopping complex provides you with all that you will need for a comfortable stay, right at your doorstep.
Along this lovely suburb's boundaries, you will find the gorgeous South Esk River, which is within walking distance to the property itself. The Blackstone Park is found along this river, where you can enjoy long strolls in the sunshine, taking in the natural scenery, and spot some of Tasmania's gorgeous native flora and fauna. Take a short 5-minute drive, and you will find yourself at the Country Club Casino. This facility provides you and the family with an array of options to enjoy such as a golf course and driving range, to perfect your swing and maybe get a whole in one, on-site restaurants and bars, the Casino area, spaces for special events, shows and entertainment, and even horse riding for the animal lovers.
The Launceston CBD is only a 15-minute drive, where you will be able to experience Launceston's delicious eateries, bars, shops, amenities, and lovely parks and recreational grounds, most within only minutes of one another. Located just outside the CBD, is Launceston’s Cataract Gorge. Here you will find a spectacular natural formation where you can enjoy long and short walks with breath-taking views, dive into the fresh basin waters, take a ride on one of the world's longest, single-span chairlifts and experience all of the natural beauty that Tasmania has to offer, including our vibrant peacocks! Showcasing the best of Tasmania's wilderness, this attraction is a must-see.

To get the most out of your stay, to be able to explore all that Launceston and its surrounds have to offer, a car is recommended. Additionally, there are many alternative options listed below:
METRO BUS SERVICE: Metro bus service provides transportation throughout Launceston and its surrounding suburbs each day. To access timetables, routes, and prices, please visit the Metro Tasmania Website.
FREE TIGER BUS: The bus travels around the city. There are bus stops located nearby outside Princes Square Park and the Launceston General Hospital. It is easy to spot – painted with the black and brown stripes of a Tasmanian Tiger! For timetables and routes, please see the Metro Tasmania Website (Free Tiger Bus).
ELECTRIC SCOOTERS: You will find purple electric scooters scattered around Launceston. To access these, please download the App ‘Beam’. Please wear the helmet provided and be safe!
BIKE RENTAL: Roll Cycles at 112 Cimitiere St offer bike rentals with options to suit most riders. Whether you are taking a leisurely stroll around town or taking on our world-famous mountain bike trails, Roll Cycles have you covered.
