“This is an old pub with all of the character you would expect. The location is great and the staff are excellent. It is not the Ritz - but it is clean and affordable. Can be some ambient noise, but that depends on room and time of night. Breakfast was excellent - poached eggs with smoked salmon. Lots of choices.”

“Our stay was so peaceful and relaxing parking was right next to our lodge and fishing pitches. Well stocked pool with beautiful carp and other fish the balcony on the the lake was absolutely amazing especially at night with lights pointing in to the lake and if you're anything like me and my partner then I recommend getting the fish food from reception for night time feeding of the fish off your balcony, wow just wow 😍 amazing stay amazing staff and cant wait to come back again xxx”

“The host was very welcoming and immediately made me feel at home. Breakfast had lots of choices for different appetites. My room was lovely with a fan for the heat, plenty of tea, coffee, etc. and a powerful shower. All in all a great place to visit.”
