Great Location, Disappointing Stay
The location was spot on from the listing and fully met our expectations. The area was convenient to the local beach and Sintra, as well as close enough to Lisbon for city activities. The main living area had a nice layout for a large group and the extra large kitchen table was perfect for evening gathering. However, there were items that were not expected and a dis-satisfier. We thought we had the house to ourselves and to our surprise there was a family living above with a dog and baby which could be heard at all hours. The original pictures showed a balcony that included outside access and seating none of which were available to us. Also, the basement level had bugs and ants throughout our whole stay. We tried to clean but they kept reappearing. And, the beds were extremely hard and very uncomfortable for everyone. Overall, while we had a great visit to the area the listing did not accurately reflect what we experienced and as a result we would give a lower rating.
