“From booking to check-out, it has been a wonderful experience and we didn't want to leave!We're the "city" type of people so we had pre-arrival jitters. “The cottage was in a perfect location for us. The town centre of Ruthin is within walking distance and there are many interesting destinations a short drive away. The cottage was clean and all the essentials were provided. The bedding and towels were of good quality and the bed was very comfortable. There is secure off-road parking and the garden is fenced around. There is a tall step between the back door and the gravelled garden, but Ruthin is hilly so this should not be a surprise! ”

“My husband loves steam trains so staying in the porter’s lodge right on the platform was an ideal choice. Sadly we were too early in the season to see or ride on steam trains but it was still fun to see the diesel ones. The cottage was larger than I thought… perfect for the 2 of us. Large well equipped kitchen (a guide on using the cooker would have been useful but we coped very well) and lounge with sofa, arm chair and wood burner which we enjoyed on one evening. “Really enjoyed our stay in this lovely traditional cottage. The village is lovely, you can buy your essentials from the village shop (Post Office). The cottage is well situated within the village and there are lovely walks nearby. Although the weather was brilliant, the nights were getting chilly so we welcomed the log burner which kept us nice and cosy. The host was on hand with information about the area and advised us about the best places to visit in this beautiful part of the country.……

“Our stay was perfect. We were away for a romantic trip and the cottage was perfect for that. The cottage was beautiful and had everything you could possibly need for a romantic few days away, including two big bath towels each, never mind all the other little touches and the excellent welcome basket. We would highly recommend it to anyone and would love to come back someday. ”

“We have used Hotels.com many times and Sykes cottages a number of times this past year al very good and this was excellent. The booking was easy but the owner of this cottage was excellent in communication and instructions ( Gaynor ) there isn’t enough I could say and we had the privilege of meeting her when she did midweek check on jacuzzi. The kitchen well designed for easy use and very well equipped with everything. Bed really comfortable. We do a lot of walking so the jacuzzi was a massive……
