“The hotel is located atop a hill above town; staff advised us not to drive down to the town, even though I have a disability walking; it proved to be a tough painful walk down to the village and back up. Upon check-in, the staff wouldn't help me up the stairs with my luggage (by contrast, the staff the next day at checkout was helpful) and didn't provide very useful advice about a local sight. “This hotel is steeped in history, and this history is clearly displayed throughout the hotel. There is a really interesting book in the communal area downstairs which is worth looking through.
