Lower Belford Lodge stands on some of the most historically significant land in the Hunter Valley. Once the site of the very first vineyards planted in Australia, this iconic parcel of land is now rolling pastures and parkland, with stands of iron bark and gum trees framed by far-reaching views .
Immersed in natural beauty your privacy is assured, yet the World class wineries and restaurants of the Hunter Valley are within easy reach.
Lower Belford Lodge comfortably sleeps ten guests in four queen bedrooms and one twin room. Each bedroom enjoys beautiful views over the property and to the surrounding countryside.
Boasting a luxurious master bathroom with views over the forest at the rear, an ensuite bathroom to the master bedroom and two further downstairs bathrooms you can wash away the stresses of work, city life or freshen up after a day in the valley sampling the local produce!
We provide a fully equipped farmhouse kitchen overlooking the pool with easy access to indoor and alfresco dining areas. For the long winter evenings settle in around the large wood burning stove or dine in the cosy formal dining room, an opulent space with its with vaulted ceiling.
Spend an evening relaxing with a glass of wine and your favourite movie, book or board game while taking in the beautiful views from the double aspect living room.
Feeling energetic or competitive? We provide a pub-sized pool table, seating, bar area and gym equipment (to be used at guests own risk) to suit your desired pace of activeness. With French doors to both front and rear aspects, this area is a perfect entertainment space.
Alternatively, relax around the tranquil resort-style swimming pool surrounded by nature and take in the beautiful vistas across the property. Maybe you prefer long lunches on the rear terrace under the shade of the wisteria, or enjoy evening drinks taking in the far-reaching mountain views from the front verandah.
