“Very satisfactory room. Clean, nice bathroom, plenty of towels. In room refrigerator with water and soda. Interesting artifacts in room. We were in the purple room, which was L shaped and didn’t have a lot of floor space. This establishment is right off one of the main shopping streets- so you get a lot of street noise. Also, the WiFi is finicky and low security. Finally, every place we stayed in Italy had hard beds and pillows. This was no exception. Security was very strong with codes for……

“This is a great place! It’s so well located that it is a 12 on a scale from 1 to 10. Right in the center of Lucca, with places to eat all around, including a breakfast bar right downstairs. Valentina is both friendly and helpful, and can assist with any questions you have. Our room was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. We overlooked the main street, which was not noisy at night, and the other side of the residence overlooks the main square of the city. Highly recommended!!”

“Location was great. Quaint rooms with much character. The manager is a great communicator (she may also be the owner) who takes great pride in this property.”

“The rooms were very spacious and clean and the beds were vety comfortable. Everybody was so kind and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. My only regret was not being able to stay another night as we were traveling to Assisi the next day. The locat to Lucca was also perfect and tge drive into the walled city was less than two minutes. I can't say enough great things about our hostess and her mom. They we absolutely sweet and wonderful people. The next time, I will use La Chiuso Delle Monache……

“The room is big, clean and well-equipped. The tiny garden just outside breakfast area is beautiful and peaceful. Breakfast is simple but fresh. Staff are nice and helpful on giving information and advice, e.g. Elena is hard-working and problem-solving. Manuela cooks for guests' breakfast. Paolo drove me to the train station when he saw my big luggage and knew that my backbond suffered from pain. “Best property, best staff, best location! I was in Lucca for 1 week and I learned the area and the hotel. Cannot rate high enough. I was stranded by taxi at 9pm in Lucca city. (Long story) Called hotel, they figured out where I was, sent a taxi for me, made late dinner reservations. Thank you Sarah. Nice bathroom, lift, air conditioning that works, big bedroom. Called taxis when I needed them, great breakfast, felt catered to. Go to their restaurant just for the lavender panna cotta. Enjoy!”

Now, you are on a Main Street so it can get loud if you’re not used to it, but it did not bother me or my partner. They also supply ear plugs! Hosts are new owners, and maybe why so few reviews. Would definitely stay here again. Nice spot for coffee/breakfast/snacks just steps away.”
