Little slice of Heaven

The house is absolutely beautiful! Amazing location and is the perfect size for a family get away. The house is clean and cozy. The beds are comfortable and the views are incredible. 100% the perfect choice for a family staying in Luray. The owner is very sweet and accommodating. My daughter was absolutely in love with the ducks and bunnies. I honestly could not have imagined a better spot.

Amazing home and location

Spacious, clean, homey! The house is well organized and stocked. The rabbits and ducks were a great addition to the trip. Our kids and friends had a wonderful time. We would rent from this owner any time.

Perfect stay near Shenandoah

We loved our time at the beautiful farmhouse for our family trip to Shenandoah (Old Rag and other hikes). It’s impeccably renovated while maintaining the historic character and only minutes from Luray Caverns. Highlights for the kids (and adults) were the delicious homemade cookies, helping Lisa to feed the bunnies and ducks every day, s’mores in the fire pit and badminton in the back yard. Lisa was a wonderful host and we’re grateful to her for making our stay so special,

Beautiful and Bucolic

The Farmhouse is in a lovely, peaceful setting. The interior has been professionally designed and decorated. A well stocked kitchen and tons of towels in the bath add to your comfort. Fireplaces (gas log) in almost every room speak to the authenticity of the structure. The mattress in the downstairs bedroom is due for replacement but that is about the only thing that wasn't perfect. We enjoyed it immensely. Duffy Wooldridge

Absolutely Fantastic!

The owner has done an amazing job restoring this old farmhouse, to retain all of it's rustic charm, but still have every modern convenience available. The location is perfect - we were truly "out in the country", but realistically only 10 minutes away from supermarkets, restaurants, etc. The area is so beautiful - with easy access to the mountains, as well as the amazing caverns in the area. What a great place!!!!

Wonderful Fall Stay for a Wedding

My extended family stayed at Lisa’s beautifully renovated farmhouse this November for a cousin’s wedding. It is honestly the most relaxing and well maintained house I’ve ever rented. We cooked a full brunch in the kitchen why don’t you get on how to start with your cheeks I need you to chill out chill out or wet or should I change the TV to something you guys wanna watch bog her pants I think he just wants to people

The farmhouse is gorgeous, and the host is amazing and so welcoming. House is well stocked, with so much thought put into the well-being of the guests. Property around the house is lovely. Conveniently located to town and parks but has that country feel. Can't say enough nice things about this property and the host.

Picturesque Property

Beautifully renovated farmhouse. Quiet location. Spacious porch with comfy rocking chairs to view the mountains, farm fields, and spectacular sunrises. Short drive to Luray. (Restaurants, shopping, walking trail) Owner was accommodating, easy to work with, one of the best.

Amazing!

This home is just perfect from A to Z! The renovation of this farmhouse is unbelievable. Every square inch has been updated and is absolutely beautiful. Lisa has thought of everything you could possibly need. The home is so well stocked from the kitchen supplies to the towels and linens. The setting in the valley is stunning and serene. The location was so convenient for visiting the National Park. And such a nice bonus getting to meet Lisa as she comes by to feed the ducks. You won’t want to leave!

Bachelorette weekend

We celebrated a bridal/shower/bachelorette get together in this beautiful house. We had the best time! House was beautiful! So comfortable! The property was also beautiful. We had professional bridal bachelorette pictures taken and they turned out awesome! We wish the wedding was here! The host was so amazing to deal with! There were even fresh baked cookies for us for our arrival! There are also duck and a bunny on the property! It was a magical time and can’t wait to bring my family back here!

Farmhouse Fire Sure

I'm going to save you some time fellow VRBO shopper. If this property is relevant enough for your needs that you've made it to reviews, you should go ahead and "book now". I would encourage you to not read any further information about the Farmhouse so as not to spoil the surprises. You'll be happy with thiis unique property executed to a tee by an exceptional host. While in Luray, stop by Gathering Grounds and Appalachian Outfitters for sure. This is a special property for sure!!

Mother/Siblings Getaway

My siblings and I wanted a place to take our 87 year old mother in the mountains that was quiet and peaceful. The Farmhouse at the Grove was a beautiful home with views of the mountains from every room. The renovations done were absolutely gorgeous. We enjoyed our weekend with our mother drinking coffee by the fireplace in the kitchen, playing cards and other games. We watched movies by the other fireplace in the living room. We felt at home. The house was full with everything you may need. Lisa did a wonderful job sharing her home. We will definitely come again.

Perfect getaway

From the first communication, Lisa was impressive. And the house was even better! Three generations of my family spent five days at the Farmhouse at the Grove and we had everything we needed. The grandbabies loved the ducks and the bunnies, and all of us loved the deck with stunning mountain views. The house was so comfortable that on our last afternoon, we passed on touristy activities to lounge around the house and yard. Everything was as described in the listing and better than I expected. We have stayed in many VRBO houses, and I think this was the first one that one of our kids said "I'd like to come back here!" And we just might do that.

Shenandoah Valley Diamond!

Nestled within the picturesque Shenandoah Valley, our recent stay at Farmhouse at the Grove was nothing short of extraordinary. This beautiful vacation rental combines rustic charm with modern amenities, offering a perfect blend of comfort and serenity. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with warm hospitality. A platter of freshly baked cookies (baked by the owner’s mom) greeted us upon entering by this lovely home as well as a batch of freshly laid duck eggs (laid by the owner’s adorable ducks, Pansy and Petunia). There were fresh flowers from the property placed in every bathroom. This home is full of loving and welcoming touches everywhere you look! Everything we needed was available for our use while my large family of 8 enjoyed each other’s company for a weekend in this lovely part of the country. My adult children all fell in love with Lisa’s delightful animals, ducks, rabbits and cats. Lisa is a delightful host, who is super quick to respond to any and every question! She was wonderful to deal with! There are not enough superlatives that I can think of to recommend a stay at this spectacular home!

Perfect vacation house

The Farmhouse was beautifully restored with large rooms, a wonderful porch, a kitchen equipped for every need, and a table large enough to sit our 8 family members with room left over. My grandchildren loved the big lawn with the provided yard equipment and sprinkler. We all enjoyed the animals and fire pit. Our host was gracious and readily available, and we would love to return some day.

Gorgeous House inside and out

My family and I had an amazing time at this beautiful house. Lisa had thought of everything to make it feel like home. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed to make breakfast and other meals if we wanted. We loved the fresh duck eggs from Pansy and Petunia and the supplies for the s'mores. Such a sweet surprise. Lisa was so communicative and so kind to our whole family. My kids loved feeding the animals with her in the mornings. The porch had an amazing view and it was so comfortable sitting on the rocking chairs enjoying the breeze. We also loved that it was so close to the town to get food if we wanted to. Lisa went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Thanks for everything. If we come back to this area, we will definitely stay here again!

Memorial Day Getaway

Charming spacious farmhouse with modern and welcoming touches including fresh flowers, plenty of extra towels, freshly baked cookies (yum!), toys for kids, beautiful, scenic views. Quiet and relaxing with many amenities provided for a great time. We all enjoyed the ducks and the rabbits, the S’mores and Miss Minnie (the cat.)

Home Away from Home

The Farmhouse At The Grove offers all the amenities of a modern home with all of the peace and escape of living on a farm. The home is impeccably clean and has every possible amenity you could want. The views out every room are spectacular with sunsets, sunrises, fall, foliage, winter snow, And beautiful picturesque valley and Mountain Views. LIsa‘s hospitality is unmatched. The homemade cookies, firewood, kitties, bunnies, ducks, smores, candles, bubblebath, games - all create memorable experiences. This is our second time staying here. I joked with LIsa that I really don’t want to tell people how nice it is because it’ll make it harder to rent. But she deserves it. This is worth every penny.

Gorgeous, quiet getaway

This was the cleanest property we have ever rented before. Everything was just perfect. Lisa has thought of everything to make her guests comfortable. The mountain sunrise views are stunning and you can see it from the back porch and even the kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with all types of cookware. The waffle maker was a nice surprise. The furniture and beds were comfortable. Check out was smooth and easy. I would highly recommend renting this lovely home for a visit to Luray.

Christmas stay

The property and home are wonderful . The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas which made the house warm and inviting. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals for a large family. Well done and highly recommended.

The most perfect wedding ever

I had my (very small) wedding at the farmhouse with our close family and friends and the entire event was amazing and made perfect by the house and by Lisa. I cannot say enough good things about the beautiful property (unbelievably well renovated and comfortable), Lisa's outstanding hospitality and helpfulness, and how incredibly special it was to have our wedding there - a feeling shared and expressed repeatedly by everyone who joined us as well!
