"This place is pretty tired and no effort is made to make it look less tired than it is. The staff gives lots of good chat and is perfectly friendly but there was not much substance behind it. The milk I was promised for my room never materialised, room service was left in the hallway all day, etc. a charge for coffees at breakfast was added without being told there was a charge for « specialty ». Overall quite disappointing."

"I had many thoughts about a hospital hotel. How far from the hospital and would it really be as nice as it looks. Well it was better than expected and the bonus was how it was part of the hospital, we had come by bus / train and so easy to find. Just ask people if you get stuck, bus driver was great. Food, we ate from the dinning room, very reasonably priced and good quality food. We enjoyed the pool too. I would say, a sign at the hospital entrance would be good. As we did get anxious about that. But, you just enter the building and read the signs or ask at the desk. Lovely people. Thankyou for a very nice time. We are coming back again when its the next operation."

"I booked and payed for a twin room for myself and my daughter just less that 2 months before our trip, when we got there, they didn’t have a twin room, they asked me if a double would do, no, as it was for myself and my daughter, I waited an hour before they got back to me with my room, stating that it was an upgrade with no extra charge, insinuating I should be thankful never mind they messed up my booking. I didn’t think much of the upgrade, it was small, warm and tired and it was a double with bed pulled apart to make like a twin, the shower barely flowed as did the cold water, it was a trickle at best, I come from Paisley (now Aberdeen) and stayed there on my wedding night in 1988, I rated it as an upmarket classier hotel, but it has went way down in my estimations, it was not a good experience for my weekend."
