“Very relaxing, lovely place and staff”

“The property and surrounding area are quaint, lovely setting and very helpful staff. However, the room we stayed in was very tired, full of cobwebs and in need of a good clean and redecoration. With the heatwave going on, it would have been good to have a fridge in the room for cool drinks. There were fans but they just move the hot air about. The breakfast area was small for the number of guests staying in all the rooms. The garden area was nice, theres a pool, hot tub and sauna. However, there……

“There is their own car park in the inn. When we checked in, the staffs were nice and friendly. The room was clean and tidy, especially the bathroom.”

“The twin room offered a good sized space for a European property, but otherwise was very disappointing as it was shabby and dated. I knew from the pictures not to expect luxury but it was less attractive in person. The building had the feel of an old roadside motel and I would not have felt safe or secure there if I had been traveling alone. “Janet was so friendly and helpful, and welcomed me with a warm smile and offered to help carry my bags to my room. The room was perfect for me. I chose the bigger room to have more room and an armchair to sit in during the evening. The view over the fields was beautiful and hearing the cows “talking” to each other was wonderfully relaxing reinforcing the peaceful atmosphere. The bed was very comfortable and everything was so clean and tidy. Janet cooked and prepared almost what ever I want for……

“Really lovely place to stay, lots of nice features - honesty bar with QR code to pay, with range of products including Champagne, also similarly, drinks in room and snacks. Visually, very well designed, boutique experience. I booked late at night after cancelled ferry and was contacted by owner immediately with information re stay.”

“This is the review that I really dit want to do. The staff were lovely and the 'Hotel' was conveniently close to the ferry and close to the City centre The staff were great, everywhere was clean and the ‘free’ breakfast was great. The issue with this property is basic maintenance. The shower was right next to the toilet where the water went straight onto the floor. The shower was very weak and took a long time to hear up. Even though there was a slight slope you would still get water around……
