“Lovely scenic area around the property. Very quiet, clean and American style motel.”

“Lovely place, lovely setting. Convenient for a Plymouth but quiet and picturesque, fantastic walks along the Yealm. And a great pub.”

“Suited my needs perfectly!! The room was small but adequate for me as a single traveller for an overnight stay. The hosts are helpful and accommodating. There is a fridge and a microwave in the room which proved useful and the bed was comfortable. The shared bathroom was pristine with a walk in shower. There is a kitchen and basic breakfast items are provided. There was tea bags, sugar and milk in the room with a kettle. As this is a house that you share with other guests I was mindful of the……

“Hotel does need some maintenance doing, our room had some damp in a patch in corner. flakey paint on wall in bathroom. At breakfast there was a bulb going in the main light which was flashing all the time we were having breakfast. Fire exit handle was broken in restaurant and fire extinguisher needs looking at. Food at breakfast was very nice 👍”

“Excellent location for walking the moors. Noisy road if on the ‘hill view’ side. Very dated inside. Room very grubby and needs a makeover. Staff lovely and polite. Only 2 people I saw, chef and the young man who did everything else. Parking great. Plenty of it. The park literally on your door step.”

“james very friendly, check in was very fast and clear, and provided breakfast ,room was very clean and bed very comfortable, bathroom looked new and like have been refurbished, room furnished with the ingenuity of the owner, it’s great location to stay ,few minutes walk to near the sea , highly recommend staying here. and very quiet at night!”

“酒店位置極佳，早餐在penhouse, 非常美味，而且風景極好。”

“Beautiful friendly historic location. Excellent food, comfortable quiet rooms and a decent size car park. Service was great and the WiFi was good. Sir Francis Drake used to live nearby for history buffs. Deep in the Tamar Valley AONB there's much to enjoy. Phone signal is shaky in Milton Combe.”

“Proper traditional hotel, nice rooms, everything spotlessly clean, nice choices at breakfast and feel genuinely welcome. On site carpark, the Hoe, seafront, and city shops all walkable. I've stayed here several times, always look forward to my visits.”

“Check in was easy and parking underneath the hotel was good price Our room was clean with king size bed and everything we needed for a one night stay We appreciated the complimentary vouchers for a drink at the bar and coffee the next morning Our only issue was the carpet by the bathroom door was damp and the bathroom smelt a little ‘off’ We did mention this on check out so hopefully it will be sorted (room 228)”

“家庭房質素好，祗是浴室較小。酒店地區近遊客區。非常方便。”

“Rooms were really comfortable - facilities are decent. Would definitely stay here again”

“My experience at this hotel was very disappointing. The environment around the hotel did not feel pleasant, with many homeless people around the area. I understand that homelessness is a serious issue, but as a paying hotel guest, I expected the surroundings and overall atmosphere of the hotel to feel more welcoming and secure. The service was also very poor. The following morning, my wife and I went for breakfast and there was nobody available to assist us for more than five minutes.……
