“Excellent service.. friendly staff”

“We are so glad we found this delightful place to stay for a few days on our trip across Europe. The hotel is cozy and personal with unique items found in nooks throughout. Our room was large, clean, comfortable and included all the essentials. A table with seating for four was a bonus. It wasn’t the season to sit on the balcony but the view out over the valley and mountains was matchless. Our host was friendly and conversational. He gave us good recommendations about the area. “This was one of our favourite hotel stays ever! Beautiful wood panelled lodge set into the hills of the Black Forest. The room was spotless and the food at dinner and breakfast was faultless too. The service was friendly throughout. The view from the beer garden alone is worth coming for. 10/10 P.s. It’s a personal preference thing but I like to have two pillows. There was only one in the room so do ask at the desk if you prefer two”

The pool and spa areas were superb, and having Black Forest Gateaux with a pot of tea by the pool was not something we expected to be able to do - but very memorable.
