"Good for the most parts. Clean, provided like home kitchen with all gadgets. Not sure home to operate microwave oven... Though the WiFi internet need great improvement, works only first of 5 days. The later 4 days has brokrn connection every 2 / 3 seconds (unsuable). The AC in bathroom / toilet and mid floor bedroom can also have some improvement (It's too hot there (too far from AC)."

We visited specifically for the Christmas lighting, which was advertised as exceptional. Although the lights were certainly pretty, I was expecting a more extensive display. This may be a resort better suited for a summer visit, where the beach and pool amenities or perhaps a golf outing, would truly shine."

"Was so disappointed in the water temperature. It was just slightly warm. I was diving in the ocean every day and really needed to warm up my body temperature. I never could get warmed up. All three days I was praying for hot water but never got it! Very bummed. Other than this the hotel was fine. Pretty beach decent food."

"I was horrified by our room when I check in. The carpet was gross with so many stains. It was not at all what the pictures looked like. Staff at front desk were not nice. Strictly business. I showed up at 1:30 after a long travel day only to be told, check in is at 3:00\. The hotel was empty, they were not busy. I left my bags and came back at 3:00\. I would never stay here again and definitely can’t recommend this hotel to anyone. "

"We stayed in a club room. The check-in for club guests went really smoothly with friendly and courteous staff. While the welcome drink was definitely appreciated, it was important to our stay to have the facilities explained to us (closures/lounge times/offerings). Having said that, we experienced a challenge with language which complicated our understanding of what was available. The room was bright and well-appointed. The club lounge offered a great variety of food and beverages and clearly marked the foods which, as a guest with severe allergies, was extremely helpful. We had full days in Okinawa and found the removal of food at 19:00 each evening too early and inconvenient. We sought activity recommendations and transportation suggestions from the front desk. The staff tried to be helpful but they spoke little English and had to consult a book about activities and transportation. Given The Oriental’s status as a higher end international hotel, I would have expected a specific concierge position who would be well-versed in local activities and have multilingual skills. While the hotel is not on the beach, arranging drop-off and pick-up shuttle service to the beach and public transportation was easy and wait time was short. The hotel’s location is great if you are using public transportation to get to/from the airport and visit sights along the west coast if you don’t have a car. We didn’t rent a car and found public transportation very convenient. "
