Clean and quaint cabins located in picturesque Margaree Valley. Staff were super friendly and we loved all of their little stories. Also had wonderful music the night we were there. Will definitely be back!

The place has a very distinct character. There’s nothing fancy about it (very rustic), but it’s clean, everything works as it should, and the staff is very helpful indeed. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

We've found the perfect haven for your Nova Scotia getaway! This cozy retreat is ideally situated for unwinding after exploring the Cabot Trail. Blending modern comforts with vintage charm, it features a wooden cottage-style setup, a cassette player, hot tub, air conditioning, clean bedding, and ample privacy. We loved staying at the Normaway Inn! Our kids loved playing outside and sitting by the fire. The staff were amazing! Very helpful and friendly. We would definitely go back back again and would chose this over a hotel.

A unique stay for a few days. It was a small cottage. Dave, the owner and his son, Jack were extremely friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Would definitely stay there again. Recommended.

Staff was a highlight - great help and very friendly. The views - highlands cows, sunset, and a firepit to watch the stars. Our cabin came with a sunroom with a day bed and porch swing. On-site restaraunt was delicious! Thanks Dave and Jack. Highly recommend this stay.

We booked to stay for 3 nights and left after 1. The overall impression of the Normaway is shabby, dated and in need of significant maintenance and upgrading. Many years ago it may have been a place that was a nice destination on Cape Breton, but from my perspective, it no longer can boast about this. It has fallen so far from "rustic" to become simply neglected. Save your money. Look for something else.

Beautifully rustic and cozy. Cabins were very comfortable. Nice bathroom and shower. Our cabin included a lovely porch swing. There was a shared fire pit surrounded by welcoming Adirondack chairs in front of our place. Breakfast was not available. Fridge and coffee machine in cabin. Horses and cows in the pasture. The evening entertainment included fiddlers and square dancing for all to enjoy. Would definitely stay here again.

Arriving at the Normaway Inn in the dark, we were greeted by the owner in the driveway and invited to their quaint barn to hear a talented fiddler. We didn’t stay long as we were tired, but our stay was comfortable yet short. Our cottage was homey and cute. Had everything we needed. We appreciated the hospitality and good nights rest.

This was certainly not what we expected. It was like time traveling back to the 1950’s: no tv in the room, the floors were warped, the bathroom door didn’t close properly, all the room decor was very, very old. Some of the cabins, including ours, had tarps on the roofs. The cabin next to ours had a burned roof. Jack and Jim, the managers, were very friendly and pleasant to talk to and the living room evening entertainment (Celtic/folk musician) are the only things that made this an interesting experience, one we will never forget or repeat.

The owner is very friendly. We had a cottage and it was behind the times. The lodge looks nice and the dining room was nice and great food.

We only stayed one night but it was an excellent experience. All the staff were extremely kind and helpful. The property is lovely and the cabin itself was clean and cozy. We had our dog with us and so it was nice to be able to walk the grounds with her. We were booked in for dinner with our reservation and had a yummy meal with excellent service. I would definitely stay again.
