The real life experience was exactly as described in the listing….although no picture will do the views justice. What I would give to regularly enjoy my coffee sitting in that backyard and a glass of wine at sunset. Just incredible. This cabin is perfect for a retreat that is peaceful and relaxing. It’s ideal to cook your meals in the cabin. About 40minutes in each direction is something wonderful to see/do. We enjoyed lunch at the Little Switzerland Cafe (get the Reuben). It’s a wild ride up the mountain there. Some of the area is still recovering from Hurricane Helene, for example, Crabtree Falls is closed as with that portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway. However, a close hiking option is Tom’s Creek; pretty and on the easier side. Our favorite was Linville Falls trail as well as Linville Winery. We also were just an hour drive from The Biltmore, which is a must visit once in your life. The cabin was clean and well stocked with the basics. This host goes above and has a stocked coffee bar and fire pit necessities. Just a note it is a charcoal grill. Driveway is very steep. Beds were comfy and the towels actually absorbed water. The host went above and beyond to communicate and make sure our stay was perfect. Has a digital guidebook that is very helpful. We chose it over a hotel to turn the trip into a relaxing mountain getaway—and we’re so glad we did!The home was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The host provided a helpful guidebook that made everything easy to navigate. A special touch we appreciated was finding items for s’mores waiting for us on the counter. After long days at camp, the boys loved roasting them and winding down by the fire.We also brought along our 3-year-old daughter and took a day trip to The Orchard at Altapass, just a scenic 30-minute drive away. She had a great time picking apples—it was a perfect family outing.The driveway is steep, but the host clearly communicated that ahead of time, so we were well prepared. One night we had pizza delivered from Titan Pizza Plus—highly recommend if you want to stay in and enjoy the home, it was delicious!Overall, this was a fantastic stay. It was a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and mountain charm. We kept rushing back home to sit outside and enjoy the view!! Michael was amazing w his communication and always responded immediately! The house was just as described. Plenty of room for 3 generations to meet and spend a weekend. Marion has places to eat and Asheville is an easy 40 min drive. I’d recommend driving an suv to get up and down the driveway. Lots of out door areas to sit and enjoy the view!! View from inside was amazing too!
