Three Corners Equinox Beach Resort

10/10 Excellent

"We had a wonderful 2 nights. The room was nice and cold. We had a wonderful view from our room in the main building. The food was very good but the buffet could have been kept tidier. Just lots of people including kids handling the serving utensils and even the food. Many items were not already cut up so you had to do it yourself at the buffet which seemed unsanitary. The drink station was not convenient at all. Example. I saw a man holding a large loaf of bread with his hands to cut it. Lots of food choices. I did see trash around that was not picked up, but the grounds were nice. I recommend taking a drive to Malikia Abu dabbab hotel next door if you can to snorkel the amazing reefs there. (We stayed there two nights and definitely preferred the room, staff, and food at Three corners equinox) the snorkeling was outstanding there. You just walked in and the 2 reefs were right there!! Loads of fish and beautiful coral. Snorkeling was NOT good at equinox. The staff were awesome! Most of the staff spoke very good English and went out of their way to be helpful. Ali at the front desk was kind and helpful. Tito was also helpful for booking a massage. Definitely point to areas while you are getting a massage so they know what you need. This resort has lots of European tourists so they took euro. Also dollars and Egyptian pounds. Negotiate with shopkeepers and spa staff. Oh. I did not see elevators. We would visit again!"

Malikia Resort Abu Dabbab

10/10 Excellent

"Overall, Malikia resort ticks alot of boxes. It has a beautiful beach with crystal clear water. I saw turtles and rays in every snorkeling session but didn't manage to see any dugongs in total 8 hours of snorkeling. They have a lovely reef on the right hand side of the resort with grass beds in the middle where you will find dugongs. I have listed improvements below. - Branded drinks for Ala Carte restaurant as they were all flat watered down drinks. - All inclusive but you charge for popcorn, orange juice, pool table (10 euros for an hour). - Ice cream timing needs to be increased. - Have different cuisine for ala Carte restaurants that differ to what - Waves restaurant lovely presentation and service Bazid service great - Saw turtles on every - Nice sandy beach with plenty of sunbeds"

JAZ Elite Amara

8/10 Good

"It's a lovely hotel: very clean, very high standards of food and drinks, and very attentive staff in the beach, dining and social areas. However some of the reception staff were very unhelpful and made me feel uncomfortable at times. Particularly as I booked initially for 1 person - the room cost is the same for 1 and 2 but I thought to be a bit more eco friendly they could then leave fewer towels etc. When I tried to add a second person they refused and said it would be additional cost, even when I showed them their own website that the cost for 1 and 2 people was the same so I'd essentially already paid. It was only when I asked them to tell me how much it would cost that they finally agreed to add the person, and even then did not update the system properly so that when they arrived the next morning they had no record. I'd have expected much better service from such a luxury hotel, it just seemed like they were out to get more money even though they were already making more from me as a single guest. The stay was otherwise great but this really put a sour note on it"
