Lovely hotel, great pool area, on the beach

Posted Sep 1, 2015
Pros: Loved the common area, pool, the fact that it was on beach and that you did not have far to walk to reach the beach. Also, enjoyed Kaanapali area.
Cons: Bathrooms need updating and better water pressure
Location: Great location on Kaanapali beach with walkway to other hotels and Whalers Village for shopping, as well as close to Lahaina, for additional shopping.
Lovely hotel, great pool area, on the beach, although sadly much of beach in front of hotel is eroded, however, small walk toward the Hyatt Residency the beach is nice. Great restaurants. The only thing we found lacking was the room, small shower - poor water pressure, and could definitely use some upgrading.

Great Stay.

Posted Sep 1, 2015
Beautiful grounds. Lots to wander through. Check out the various birds in the gardens and koi in the pond. Great food. Standout was the Maui beef at the Steakhouse. Convenient having a couple of stores on the grounds, and close by to Whalers Village for a bigger range of shops and a food court. The Korean style beef short ribs lunch in the Whalers Village food court was spectacular. I'd go back for that. The one thing that really annoyed me was the people trying to sign us up for time share sales appointments. This is definitely not unique to this resort, it happened everywhere I went in Hawaii - but it was the worst here, because the time share is new I guess. And the kiosks are in places you can't avoid - right by the lobby, right by the pool, right on the beach walk...

Der dritte Stop unserer USA-Reise.

Posted Aug 30, 2015

Beautiful location!

Pros: The hotel property is beautiful. The staff for the most part was friendly. There is a walkway that goes from the hotel to Whalers Village where there
Cons: Get rid of the pushy time share people. They harass you every time you leave your room. They are in the lobby, out by the pool and on the sidewalk in
Location: We went to the Marilyn Monroe spa at the hotel for a couples massage and it was great. The Front street area has a little bit of everything. We had a
We had a wonderful time at this resort. It is a beautiful location and close to everything.

Incomodo

Posted Aug 26, 2015

Beautiful hotel right next to the beach.

Posted Aug 24, 2015
Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Upon check in we received a beautiful lei made with real flowers and an explanation of what the hotel has to offer. Our room came well equipped with 2 balconies and the view of the ocean was breath taking! This hotel has so much to offer to make your stay amazing.... Would definately stay here again.

Nice hotel on beach

Posted Aug 23, 2015
Hotel on beach with water sports, luau and scuba. 5 mins to Lahaina. 3 restaurants and coffee shop, plus assorted resort shops. Can share facilities with next door Hyatt residence , dining and pools. The gym was top notch and there's a spa but didn't try it. Japanese restaurant really good. Books up so make reservations. Overall good experience.

Beware

Posted Aug 23, 2015
Hyatt in Kaanapali have select rooms that they put aside for customers that book through discount travel sites like Expedia. This is our second time at this hotel and both times rooms were not well maintained. Furniture was worn, curtain in bathroom was old and moldy, several electrical plugs did not work, safe was not working, coffee maker was broken etc...
