“Excellent stay, cozy, great pubs and food and lovely walks around. Local coop 6am-10pm daily, chip shop, atleast 3 pubs and lovely short (2.5miles) or long (6 miles) to Castleton!”

“Lovely spacious clean cottage, very well equipped. Owners were attentive nice people. Summer or winter very comfortable place to be. Good position for visiting lot's of places. Lovely patio to sit in looking out towards the cattle in the fields, watching sunset or rise! We would definitely stay again. Thank you.”

“really comfortable stay - the cottage is cosy but has high ceilings so no banged heads and it doesn't feel cramped. beds really comfy. fantastic location - amazing walks from outside the front door. lovely pub in the village down the hill. and the owners run the tea room next door so left us a lovely plate of cakes on arrival! ”

“Great location Beautiful cottage”

“Excellent location for visiting Cheshire and Peak District. The cleanliness and standard of the furniture and fittings in the cottage could not be faulted and Brenda was very helpful. Outdoor space not private.”

“Lovely setting for a great holiday! So near to many great walks and cycle rides. Electric charging for the car was a wonderful bonus and saved a lot of stress. Would recommend.”

“Well thought out cottage design very well presented but testing for size - just an extra 5% of space would yielded 20% increase in convenience and enjoyment. Hosts and neighbours are excellent. Parking is unusual but workable. As a couple (one Aussie and one Aussie born in Yorkshire) we really enjoyed our time at this cottage and would highly recommend it. Walk to village is 10 minutes and huge number of attractions within 40 mins.”
