Great country house with lots of charm and character, located in a unique area, secluded and quiet, with a beautiful view over the ocean and mountains, a few minutes walk away from the town centre.
It boasts:
On the ground floor: living area, fireplace, large kitchen, American-style bar, 1 bedroom (2 single beds) with en-suite shower room including 1 toilet.
Upstairs: 2 double bedrooms with 2 en-suite bathrooms (including 1 with Jacuzzi bathtub) and 2 toilets, a sauna.

The villa and its pool are nestled in a wooded park where all the tree and shrub species of the Algarve grow.
In its garden, you will find rare rose bushes, agave and fruit trees.
At 460 m altitude, at a turn in a footpath the city of Monchique offers the spectacle of the sea, the freshness of crystal clear water crashing against the rocks, the orchards and terraced vegatable crops.

Heated swimming pool FREE of charge from March 15th to November 15th.

Superbe séjour dans cette grande et belle maison qui offre tout le confort qu’on peut souhaiter, sans parler du garder magnifique.Nous avons été très bien accueilli!!Cheminée en route à notre arrivée, possibilité d’utiliser le sauna, la piscine chauffée, la baignoire à bulles, et les matelas sont de bonnes qualité. Le logement était très propre.Plusieurs restaurants proches et le centre ville n’est pas loin.Bref, on ne peut que mettre un 5/5, tout à été parfait.Merci à vous, nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Het huis biedt alles om gezellig te verblijven en lekker zelf te koken. De veranda geeft de gelegenheid met minder weer toch buiten te verblijven. We hebben een hele fijne week gehad. Als enige opmerking zou ik nog willen maken dat bepaald (buiten)meubilair comfortabeler zou kunnen.

The house and its property Are beautiful. Beautiful view over the mountains and Ocean. We spent lots of time in the pool and went for several walks, some short, some for a half day. Exactly what we wouldve hoped for!

Ein Haus zum Wohlfühlen mit traumhaftem Pool Wir haben schon viele Ferienhäuser gemietet und dies gehört zu den allerschönsten. Die ruhige Lage, die schöne Aussicht, das riesige Grundstück, das großzügige, gut ausgestattete, gemütliche, saubere Haus mit gut funktionierender Heizung und Klimaanlage, der schöne nach Osten ausgerichtete Wintergarten (vollständig zu öffnen, wunderbare Sonnenaufgänge, nachmittags Schatten) und nicht zuletzt von dem traumhaften Pool können wir nur schwärmen; so schön angelegt, lang und durchgehend tief, so dass man wunderbar schwimmen kann, klares, angenehmes, sauberes Wasser und völlig uneinsehbar! Da es eine Beleuchtung gibt, kann man auch in der Nacht schwimmen!Die friedvolle Atmosphäre am Pool ist herrlich.Wir sind sowohl an die Südalgarve wie an die Westalgarve gefahren.; der Weg vor allem an die landschaftlich ausgesprochen reizvolle Westalgarve ist sehr schön. Die Strände Praia da Armoreira und Praia de Odeceixe haben uns sehr gut gefallen.In 2km Entfernung gibt es einen gut sortierten Intermarche, so dass die Lebensmittelversorgung völlig problemlos war. Last but not least: Eulalia ist ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit, alle unsere Anfragen an sie wurden prompt beantwortet, sie gab uns wertvolle Tipps und man merkt, dass es ihr ein Anliegen ist den Aufenthalt für die Gäste so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten, vielen herzlichen Dank an dich.

Ein wunderschönes Haus mit einem tollen Grundstück. Das Haus wurde liebevoll gestaltet, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist absolut ruhig gelegen und wir hatten einen phantastischen Ausblick von der Terrasse aus.Allerdings ist Einiges schon in die Jahre gekommen und müsste ersetzt werden. Auch war es leider nicht sehr gut gereinigt worden vor unserem Aufenthalt. Aber wir hatten trotzdem einen wunderschönen und entspannten Urlaub.

We enjoyed a lovely week at the villa which was not long enough! Our plan pre-holiday was to go into Monchique town regularly to eat and explore but once we arrived we didn’t want to leave!! The villa is large and spacious and the views are wonderful however the plants around the swimming pool were in need of cutting back as they were very overgrown and trailing into the water.Eulália met us on arrival and was great and extremely helpful with many suggestions. Hopefully we will return soon.

Das Ferienhaus ist ganz wunderbar. Der Pool ein Traum. Alles vorhanden. Auch Wolldecken für kältere Tage. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet. Es gibt wirklich nichts zu beanstanden. Es ist wunderbar ruhig - man hört nur Tiere. Um die Küste und Strände zu erkunden, sind die Wege etwas weit. Für Wanderungen perfekt.

Nous avons passé plus d‘une semaine dans cet endroit magique… la maison est très confortable et on y trouve tout ce dont on a besoin pour passer de belles vacances. Le sauna et la piscine sont un grand plus. Le calme et la vue sont extraordinaires…de la maison nous avons fait des balades très sympa! Monchique est une petite ville avec des bons restaurants et des bonnes boulangeries!Pascal et Marie sont très à l’écoute et très réactifs!!! Nous conseillons vivement cette maison!

Paradise

We stayed for 19 days in March 2025. The villa is very charming-we loved the sun room and used the log burner as it was March and a bit chilly. We used the sauna and spa bathtub a lot. We spent almost all of our indoor time in the sun room. Great sunrises! Kitchen is great-had everything we needed to cook all our meals. The grounds are so beautiful. It is like being in a botanical garden-citrus trees, flowers, herbs, olive trees, palm trees. The pool area was great. Again, being March, the weather only got warm enough to swim the end of March. Views are out of this world. The owners, Pascal & Marie live on the property and were very helpful with some electrical-storm related issues. Marie gave us some oranges that she picked from the property and some home made olive oil. They have a very friendly and quiet dog. We also liked how close the Via Algarviana trail is to the villa. We hiked Foia 3 times. There is a restaurant next to the villa and from that parking lot there is a path that leads into the centre of Monchique to explore by foot rather than driving into town. Overall, it was a fantastic stay!

The house is amazing, with cosy rooms and decor.The location is awesome for a chilled holidays.The kitchen is fully equipped for home cooked meals and it has a super nice outside space. We really enjoyed the stay and will definitely be booking the space again :)

Mountain biking Monchique

Lovely villa with character. Large shared living space. Rooms large - twin on ground floor 2 en suite rooms one almost a mezzanine and one accessed through a separate door outside the building. We didn’t try the sauna or pool as it was February. Kitchen has everything to cater for a large group with a big dining table.Log burner was fantastic.Great location halfway up the valley side above Monchique.

Great stay on a central place in the Algarve

The house is beautiful with a lot of extras ( swimming pool, sauna and whirlpool). The property is big, quiet and has a lovely view. It is situated not far from the south and west coast of Portugal. Some furniture is outdated and has to be replaced. Thanks for having us.
