Excellent view from room, nicely located hotel, great reception staff who were very helpful.
However…. Food and beverage experience let it down. No flexibility with menu in restaurant, extremely small glass of wine in rooftop bar which was extortionate for a house wine. Breakfast area was uncomfortable, more like a busy airport cafe and everyone on their phones so no relaxation or special feel.
The bed sheets were polyester mix so we were itching all night.

The hotel is in a great location with only eight rooms ,I believe. It has no immediate access for vehicles or parking so you will have to wheel your luggage to the entrance which is a short distance from the main road. Beside this minor inconvenience the staff is wonderful and will help with everything including your luggage from vehicle to room and back ! Special mention for Isabel at the front desk whom is very knowledgeable and a great person to talk to about everything ' Porto '.

"This is a beautiful hotel. It looks like a castle, but is in fact the restoration of a very old hospital.many of the original elements have been kept. There are interesting little rooms to explore as you wander through the hotel. It is very spacious. This can lead to a few issues finding your way ..."
