Great for Single Men too!

Posted Aug 31, 2015
Pros: The 24hr room service!
Cons: I do not have any compliants
I'm a single woman and recently went to Secrets Wild Orchid alone. This hotel is truly luxury. They make it so you do things effortlessly. I stayed at other all inclusive before and this one is by far the best! Even the food was great! (You must try the French restaurant) The beach was clean and the water was warm. I recommend staying on the Wild Orchid side because it's closer to everything. My only compliant is there was a lack of single men which is no fault of the resort. Message to all single men, there are limitless single women at this resort. I recommend this as a single man get-a-away. Trust me, you won't go wrong!

Resort by the beach

Posted Aug 18, 2015
Pros: The hotel is very clean and everyone is very friendly.
Cons: Food is pretty good, however, there could be improvements. It's nice to have so many options with the number of restaurants.
This resort is amazing! We stayed on the Wild Orchid side (5 days). We loved going to all three beaches (St. James, Wild Orchid, and Preferred). The snorkeling is amazing. We brought our own goggles and that was the best decision. We would just swim by the reef and look down to see all the fish. The jerk chicken cart and coconut cart are fun too! Whenever we missed the coconut cart, there was always a willing facilities guy that would climb a tree and gladly cut the top for us. The breakfast and dinner options are good. Lunch is okay in the buffet and seaside grill. The people there are extremely nice and always willing to go the extra mile to make your day. Andre at the rendezvous bar is amazing! Carol makes the best breakfast omelettes. This resort, unlike others we have tried, has a lot of night activities. We did a silent disco which was interesting and a barefoot beach party that was a lot of fun. The day activities they provide are fun. We did the snorkeling tour at 9 am and that was better than the snorkeling we paid for in the catamaran option. The bike ride is very fun too. Things we should have brought: Bug spray (mosquito bites all over our legs) and water shoes (beaches have sharp rocks).

Best ever

Posted Aug 12, 2015
Pros: The different food items every night.
Cons: Maybe an old school night that included 70's and 80's RB and PoP music.
Location: Not much near by but ok with the activities at the resort. With the price of your nightly stay, the tours could have been a little more reasonable.
Extremely nice resort on the beach. Very friendly staff. Fresh coconut juice and jerk chicken near the pools daily until gone.

Incredible All-Inclusive!!!!

I took my husband to this resort for his 49tj birthday, and I would recommend the Secrets Wild Orchid Resort to any group or couple looking to go to a resort where you don't have to leave to have a great time! The staff was IMPECCABLE and truly made you feel special. The restaurants and nightlife on site were also very good. We WILL be back!

Wonderful hotel and even better staff!

Posted Aug 5, 2015
Our stay at Secrets Wild Orchid was amazing! We wish we could have stayed longer. The staff at this hotel is extremely attentive. Shane, at the swim up bar, is an excellent bartender. Same goes for Richard at the Piano Bar. The beach at Secrets Wild Orchid is beautiful as well. The highlight of our trip was the FOOD! It was amazing...we will definitely be back!

Great pool; not so great beach water

Posted Aug 3, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, easy to follow layout of restaurants/shopping/gaming, comfortable bedding, good temperature control in showers, beautiful nature/scenery (woke up to a peacock on patio each morning), close to MBJ airport. Cons: Had to request fridge "stock" 3 times before completed, grout in shower/bathroom appears old & soiled, hotel "lobby" checkin is too crowded and disorganized, beach opens to ocean covered with thick seagrass (no fish to be seen here; leave your snorkel mask at home!), all bars are not stocked consistently (a drink you can get at one bar is not available at another bar). Overall, nice play to stay if you like the price/deal you receive and don't mind a large resort. However, next timeI would rather make the long commute and travel to Runaway Bay or further...the ocean water seems more clear.

Excellent resort to relax for a few days.

Posted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: Close to the airport. The beach was very clean. The staff were superb!
Cons: There could be a few more shade umbrellas along the beach.
Location: Quite close to the airport, maybe a 15 minute ride.
Check in, to check out was flawless. Everyone was attentive and courteous. The breakfast buffet was beyond belief with the variety of foods to choose from, and there were 4 cooks at the grill to make your eggs and omelets to order. Wait staff was perfect, and not a bad lunch or evening meal did we experience (and we checked out all except the Mexican restaurant, as we ran out of time on our trip). The public restrooms were spotless, and it seemed there was always someone 'on duty' to ensure that they were.

Beautiful resort bad service

Posted Jul 6, 2015
We went for four nights for our five year anniversary. We decided to go with the preferred club. I want to first say that the staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly, however the bar staff and wait staff, not so much. You could be standing at the bar for ten Minutes and not even be acknowledged. And when you would finally get a drink, they were very weak. I believe the bar staff work hard, and perhaps they are over worked. The food wasn't anything too great. The French restaurant was the best- but our food was barely even warm. The beach and pools are beautiful and the entertainment was always provided poolside and late night. Overall a decent trip but I would not likely return.
