This hotel has no lobby and no one on site to check you in. Despite receiving an email earlier in the day with an access code, the self-service check in did not let us check in. We had to walk across the street to a different hotel to get checked in. On the bright side, the rooms were clean and comfortable. We would probably stay here again.

Unfortunately 3 stars! The location and condition were excellent! It was close to the train station and walking distance to Old Town Munich. It was clean and comfortable. My problem is it felt a bit like bait and switch. I booked the king suite after looking at the choose your room pictures. We were staying awhile and saw that it had a kitchenette... Perfect! When we checked in, the kitchenette was locked up tight and when we asked about it we were told it was an extra 20 euro a night to use it.Very frustrating! Be wary of room picures and what you will actually get.

I stayed at Advastay in Munich for an extended period and found it to be a solid base for exploring the city. One of the biggest advantages is its location—just a 4-minute walk from the main train station, which made it incredibly easy to get around by public transport. It's also about a 15-20 minute walk to Marienplatz and the heart of the old town, which I appreciated for both sightseeing and everyday errands. The neighborhood itself isn’t the most attractive part of Munich, but I always felt safe coming and going, even late in the evening. The property was comfortable and functional enough for a longer stay. If you're looking for somewhere central and reliable for an extended visit, Advastay is a good option.
