“We have stayed at the Remington numerous times on trip to visit our daughter. Today at breakfast was disappointing for all as there was only one staff member on trying to check all in, make coffee's for all, clean up tables and restock the breakfast supplies. The staff member was doing a sterling job due to the lack of support she had.”

“The place its self is lovely, as is the food. We booked to extend our stay and were told they were fully booked and it would not be refunded as they don’t deal with WOTIF even though the booking had been placed via the app. The manager was extremely rude and didn’t even offer to look at the booking confirmation and payment we had taken from our account.”

“The check in was very friendly. The room was extremely clean. Parking was good and not an issue. Ate at the RSL next door - food was ok however you cannot buy a glass of wine - unbelievable - only bottles available.”

“Staff were friendly however restaurant is closed, also pipes have bad water hammer,air-conditioner is efficient but very noisy and traffic noise is also a problem. Receptionist was helpful in providing recommendations for eating out and the Thai restaurant had great meals many of which were gluten free.”

“If I could rate it 0 stars I would!! The sheets were absolutely disgusting (see photos) Bathroom cleanliness was also sub par. I do not recommend this hotel & I would never stay here again!!”

“Nice place to stay”

“A great stay ~ same as before. Thanks for waiting at late hours. Much appreciated, Lynn!”

“Very friendly staff, good bed, clean room, would stay again.”

“Although the unit we stayed in was compact, it was perfectly laid out and furnished. The standard of the kitchen equipment, crockery and cutlery was much better than anywhere I've stayed. The furniture, bedding and general styling was done very thoughtfully across the bathroom, bedroom, kitchen and living room to make the whole place comfortable and sumptuous. Its location in a quiet cul-de-sac near the centre of town was just right.”

“My family and I, enjoyed our stay at Portman's... The rooms were very clean. The shops are very close including restaurants. I will stay there again next time.”

“The room was clean. It had everything we needed, including a sink which you don’t normally get! It was also in a really good location. parking was really easy and it was undercover.”

“Place was okay, but not a great deal to do in town. Good for a 1 nite stop over.”

“No stove to cook.”

“Good value budget rooms. Room was adjacent to the pub which is handy for meals, drinks etc (but be aware of the noise if you want to get to sleep early). Plenty of parking at rear. Overall, amenities basic but good value considering cost.”

“Good parking Good rooms Good location”
