"My room "overlooked the pool" but it wasn't in the Chateau. It was below the Chateau in what probably was a storage room built into rock. To reach the room you walk along a gravel path so you can't roll a suitcase easily. Room has a wood and glass rickety door that was extremely difficult to lock. Spacious clean bedroom with one small electric wall-heater. The room smelled very musty on arrival, no TV, no safe, no fridge, spiders, nice bathroom but nowhere to put soap etc in the shower other than the floor. Lighted mirror didn't work. Many outdoor stone steps to climb if you wanted to go to the restaurant. Definitely a challenging place for anyone with mobility issues."

"We spent a lovely 5 nights at the Gite de Cambalu which was well equipped and very well situated for visiting the towns and chateaux (especially Chenonceau) of the Loire valley. The setting in the countryside was very peaceful and it really nice to eat fresh eggs in the morning from the farm courtesy of our host. You could eat out within a short drive if you don’t want to eat at the gite. Aude was excellent with her communication relating to our visit and also had some very good recommendations for restaurants and wine tasting. Thank you!"

"Has been renovated to a high standard. With air conditioning, washer, dryer and numerous energy savings.Great location, 30 mins outside of Tour and minutes from numerous chateau’s. Chenonceaux just 7 miles.Situated in a pretty little village with everything you need.Sanding the owner greeted us and went through the gite, excellent folder of anything you would need.Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice, convenient gite "

"Wonderful characterful property with amazing artworks throughout and in the beautiful grounds. Lovely swimming pool. Kitchen fully equipped with plenty of room but we sat outside to eat all the time next to the wonderful smelling lavender plants. Our host could not have been nicer or more helpful especially when one of our party was unwell. I cannot recommend enough. There is a Le Relais restaurant around 5 min walk which is cheap and good for a very relaxed unfussy lunch and lots of very good restaurants a short drive away. Again if you want a wonderful relaxed place to stay with a superb host this property is perfect. "
