May 4-10 Double D Stay
Overall the place was nice. It needs a lot of little things/repairs. Inside was decently clean but outside is a disaster. The porch is dirty with mouse droppings, mildew, dirt, old broken chairs, etc. The yard is so full of weeds you could easily get bitten by something. The swing in the back has too high of weeds under it to be comfortable sitting in it. Inside the back door wouldn't close without force but i fixed that. There is a broken wall plug cover held in place with a child proof insert. Tiny roaches were all over the kitchen. There was an open bag of chips and graham crackers in the pantry. All of the night light bulbs are blown. Most important thing to me was the shower head in the upstairs bathroom was improperly capped. I fixed that too. It had a make shift cap on it, that didn't fit, held in place with duct tape that sprayed water all over the bathroom when you turned it on. I put a proper screw on cap on it. I was told that the owner didn't want to fix it. I think the owner doesn't understand how important that shower is when you have more than 2 guest's and how cheap it is to fix. You can get a shower head at Walmart for under $10 and screw it on it less than 5 minutes. Overall a good place to stay but needs a lot of TLC.

Needs minor maintenance done
Very nice house, but needs a lot of minor maintenance done. We found a few bugs crawling on the kitchen counters. The hot tub was leaking the whole time. There was no shower head in the upstairs bathroom. Just quite a few things that could have been fixed for the price. I do love the house and we enjoyed our weekend though. I hope it is maintained better next time.

Cozy hot tub with secluded vista!
Sit in nice clean hot tub and enjoy secluded countryside vista. Very dog friendly with fenced yard. 3 full sized bedrooms with plenty of storage. 1 small bath. Full kitchen (no dishwasher or garbage disposal) with most all the stuff you need to make meals. Nice den with TV for watching the game. We thought the place was generally neat and tidy. Plenty of easy parking right at door. Off the beaten bath. At least 20 minutes to anywhere, just the way we like it.

Nice, off-the-beaten-path location, beautiful scenery. The house was very comfortable. Property manager communicated about steps to take with cold weather pending, which made me feel better about securing the property. We’d go back.

Dirty, Wouldn't Stay Here Again
Really disappointed this is where we had our family vacation between Christmas and New Years. The house was dirty - stained and bleached carpets; old, pilled linens, old, lumpy mattresses; mold in tub; moldy shower curtain; dead bugs; patched paint that doesn't match; etc. There were multiple remote controls, but none of them actually controlled the TV. There were two bathrooms, but only ONE working shower. (We were NOT going to take a bath in this house.) There was no dishwasher - I would expect a house of this caliber to have one. When we called management, they promised to call us back and do a quick clean and bring a new shower curtain liner - I'm home now and still waiting for that call. I think this used to be nice but it REALLY needs some TLC. I know several people who own rental houses and care about the house, their guests and getting good reviews - it seems like these owners just don't care. On a good note, the porches and views are beautiful and it is very secluded. It was nice to be able to bring our dog but there was a hole in the fence so we had to sit outside with the dog so it wouldn't get out. We rent a lot of houses and haven't seen one like this before. Overall it was disappointing for our vacation in such a pretty part of Texas.

Filthy cottage
This was the absolute most filthy place I have ever stayed. The management co is a sorry excuse for a management company. It was bug infested, not maintained at all and absolutely filthy. There were holes in the walls not fixed, leaks repaired in the cheapest way and hasn't had a deep clean in probably 20 years. It was gross! Take this as an honest review as I have been in facility management for over 30 years. I can't believe the owner wouldn't care enough to pick a good management co because this place could be really nice.

Cabin in the Woods
My husband and I stayed here for two weeks and it was sufficient for what we needed. We were gone each day so only in the home in the evenings and early mornings. We did not cook much then which was good as the pans were not in good shape. Please note there is also no dishwasher. Overall the furniture was comfortable and the bed we slept in was good. It is on well water so there was a bit of a smell but this is to be expected. The views and the drive to the home were nice to enjoy and we saw deer, fox and alpacas across the street almost daily. I only gave it four stars as this home could use some TLC.

This has been the worst stay ever!! Overall horrible. Got help from no one! Not clean super dirty! The kitchen table is 109 years old! Carpets are all dirty smells like pee! All vents and fans had dirt! Animals critters every where! The couches were old and uncomfortable! No Wi-Fi Service! Overall horrible! Ruined my mini vacation with the three kids! The yard was horrible too! My kids love to play outdoors and couldn’t!! I didn’t get a call back until today after we checked out since complaining on Friday check in day! I couldn’t even put groceries in pantry the kitchen was disgusting!! Scorpion was in my room and dirty underwear! This place is never cleaned and not kept up!

We enjoyed our stay and it had everything we needed. The drought caused the yard to look totally different from the picture which is understandable but it still could have been weed eated for the weeds made it look like an abandoned house when you first pulled up. Also the inside carpet needs a deep cleaning and floors behind and under furniture needed swept and mopped. Besides those 3 issues we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

I nice escape
This was a great escape to get away from it all. The property is well fenced and we were able to let our beagles run the yard. They are runners and the fence was more than enough for peace of mind. When we had questions, April answered immediately, she was quick and helpful. We would stay here again!

Beautiful view in the countryside
The view was beautiful and it is an older house which was fine with us. The upstairs shower did not have a shower head so we just had one shower between 2 adults and 2 teenagers. We enjoyed the hot tub, grill and awesome back porch! HEB is about 20 minutes away. Fun get away!

Beautiful surroundings, quiet, and serene with plenty of privacy to enjoy the outdoor hot tub.
For the most part our stay was excellent. The inside is a bit dated, but suitable. Our main gripe was the cleanliness of the interior which requires a "deep cleaning". There were a few spider webs in the lamp shades and the carpet was DISGUSTING. There were quite a number of soiled places throughout the carpetting and the house smelt musty.

Perfect, remote location but only 15 minutes to Wimberely! Quiet, hilltop location perfect for a getaway from noise & traffic. The online pictures use "camera magic" to make it appear the cabin is further off the road & deeper in the backyard area There needs to be some cleaning done as there were towels in the washer, black specs( probably lint/ thread) in the carpet if the bed room. Perfect getaway near Jacobs Well, Cypress Falls, and all that Wimberley has to offer. The internet is pretty spotty but that was fine to get the family off their devices. Ours was a small group of older adults, looking to retreat from the city for conversation and quiet, and this property suited us perfectly. The breezy hilltop porch was welcoming and comfortably appointed, with lovely views in two directions. The cabin had three comfortable bedrooms, and a firm mattress on the sofa bed, as well as a well-appointed kitchen, with plenty of cooking utensils. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

Love this place. Remote setting away from the crowds but 20 minutes or so from groceries and a few wineries, a brewery and a distillery.
