Very old furniture, had smell in the room. Totally dirty. Its not how it looks in the photos.we was tired and cane bck to hotel, and the key wasnt working, i had go down again and get my key changed, after going all the way to the top again the key did jot work. Went down again and different staff change the key and all over again it did not work. The fourth time i went down and they want to tell me its maybe coz the door needs battery changing. I went bck upstairs and waited for the technician to come as they told me some one will be thr asap. Waited outside with my kid and my wife and my seniour citizen mother. No one cane for like 15 mins. Had to go back down again and they said they some is on the way already. No such kind of thing tht says sorry. Nothing. They just dont care. Very bad experience. Would never recommend. Oh yes only the lobby looks good. Cant forget tht.

Had high hopes—location can’t be beat. Sue Ellen at check in was so sweet and helpful. That is where it ended. The rooms are big, but the furniture is so dated and beat up—the side table drawer would not even close. Two days in a row there was no one to speak with in concierge. A tall well dressed man stood there acting annoyed if he was questioned, and told us the morning of check out the “she (the concierge) may or may not be here today, don’t know. I’m not sure about transportation to airport- go talk to check in”…went to check in and was told we would have to find a doorman to ask. As a first time visitor to NYC, I was truly hoping for more assistance from the staff at the hotel I paid an arm and a leg to stay at.

The staff at the front desk was amazing Chris & Daniel (I hope I got his name correct - bows in his beard). We checked in as the global internet shut down just came back on line. THE room could use updating.rusty vents in the bathroom, fuzy wallpaper, not throughly clean, long hair around the toliet. And i know they didn't clean sheets, left a facial wipe in the sheets, it was still there. Makes you wonder if they actually changed sheets between guess. Gave me the ick...

This hotel was right in the middle of everything. Lots of dining options, shopping, and easy access to transportation. The hotel room was very comfortable, but I was surprised to find out there was no refrigerator in the room.

The concierge man during our stay on the night of 7/18-7/19 was very lovely and informative, he looked out for us and made us aware of certain things to look out for while staying our first time in New York. The front desk staff were also very lovely, our room was upgraded to two beds without asking and we were given an amazing view. Definitely recommend this hotel and can’t wait to come back soon! The only thing I can say is that the bathroom should definitely be upgraded and painted, the rooms are nice but the bathrooms are a little less appealing. Thank you guys for your service .
