Happy busy property set into an old building with a lovely front and back yard. Rooms have character and each is unique. Coffee shop is lovely and the afternoon wine service is busy and happy. On the downside - all rooms on the ground level and first floor are ridiculously noisy. Unless you’re willing to commit to sleeping only between midnight and 6:00 AM .. don’t book this hotel. When I complained about this to the manager she explained with a straight face that ‘she’s never had that complaint before’ (we could hear every word said by every patron at their very busy coffee shop and I commend anyone who can sleep through a milk steaming at 7:00 AM, it sounds like a steam train going through your room). No gym but you can go to one at the Chelsea piers about 500 meters away and no resturant but lots around. Shame about the noise (install sound proof doors and a door at the top of the first flight of stairs and between the first floor rooms and three common area if you want your guests to get some sleep) since the people are nice, location is solid, rooms are quirky but great, and this could be a great spot.
