This is very old property. Rooms look old and not very clean. Also they didn't have even a refrigerator or microwave oven in the rooms. However it was very conveniently located for visiting many tourist areas in NYC.

Location was great. But I was very disappointed in this hotel. I was not informed that they were doing renovations. We walked into our room and it was musty smelling. Then our air conditioner broke the first night. When they fixed it, you couldn’t adjust the temperature so it stayed at 65 all day long and it never cut off. I asked for extra towels, I was told they send them up but they never did. This is one location that I would not stay at again.

Wow! Read the reviews before booking! I unfortunately didn’t. I looked at the pictures and assumed I would have the same type of room. But my room was very outdated. Wallpaper peeling, crack in the tub, carpet sticky and last guest’s garbage found in corner of room. I think I can spend more to stay somewhere else next time

This hotel is currently under construction. The first room and floor we were booked in was terrible. Old, dirty, moldy and smelly. (Floor 22) We booked two queens but were given this room with 2 doubles instead and they couldn’t switch us because it was full. The second night they moved us to floor 20 and a much better room. Clearly they are renovating a floor at a time. We woke up to hammering and construction noise at 8am. Give them time to complete their construction but I wouldn’t book here again without knowing what room you will be in.

We found the hotel to be very run down and our room not very clean. There was mold around the but and the bathroom floor, there was grunge on the shampoo; soap dispenser in the shower. The bottom of the bathroom door was rotted. The water dispenser near the ice machine on our floor was not working.

To whomever responded and helped with my request, thank you. I read the reviews prior and was nervous but I truly had no issues with my stay at the Manhatten. The lobby staff were all pleasant and helpful. They were dealing with a few customers when i arrived so there was a slight delay. However this is a hotel in NYC in the middle of Times square. Of course they are going to be busy. The room was clean and no esthetic issues at all. The TV is not a smart Tv only reg basic cable and the bed frame was a little on the noisey side. This is a good hotel and if you manage to catch a great price as I did then the little issues are miniscule. But everyone is different with varying expectations. I would stay there again.

Checking in was the WORSE ever! Took over 70 mins ! First there was a slow moving line and then we had booked (3) rooms but their system only showed (2)... So things started OFF HORRIBLY But the room was spacious, clean and overall excellent. IF they can fix the check in time I would stay there again
