“The bar and restaurant area was beautiful and the only problem was that it was not open when I was there. Breakfast was good. The pools were clean. It is very nice gated community. And a safe environment. I would definitely stay there again.”

“We loved this hideaway! Tucked in off a side road, it’s peaceful and relaxing with a gorgeous view of the sunset just a quick walk from the property. Playas Samara and Carrillo are a quick drive in either direction. We were glad to be cloistered among the giant trees at this property instead of close to the chaos of a beach town.
The staff were so attentive and kind addressing all our needs. Onsite is a restaurant which was excellent and reasonably priced for lunch or dinner.

“Outstanding staff. Gave us great local recommendations and very attentive. Bungalows are clean, but simple. The property is outside the main tourist spots, but the beaches close by are even better.”

“The staff were accommodating and always willing to help. Our room was lovely and as advertised online. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. The pools were wonderful and our spa experience was extremely positive.
Overall good value for dollar.
Our only complaint would be the cost of a poolside drink - it was wild!”

“The Sunset Shack was fantastic for our family trip to Nosara. The beach is super close, and the town is very cute. We were right in the middle of it all. Monkeys in the mango trees on the property in the morning, and iguanas roaming all day. The food, the staff, and the hotel itself were all 5 stars! We would love to return to Nosara, and would not stay anywhere else. Thank you Sunset Shack!”

“This hotel is absolutely perfect, located in a quiet location. Very clean and well maintained. Only 2 minutes walk to the beach. If I return to Tamarindo I will be definitely staying again at this hotel”

“Best hotel in Samara, guaranteed! Affordable and smack downtown. Laura, Jessica and Karina were top notch with their fine customer service and friendliness. Pools and overall property is well kept. Had an amazing stay plus breakfast was a perk. Italian restaurant in site is a must! Extremely pleased. Will come back here.”
