“Room was way to small ,no window ,bed i needed a step to get in to it ,fire alarm went off at 2 40 am ,though someone would have checked”

“Was ok. Peaceful location but huge gravel car park directly in front of ground floor rooms was noisy in morning and evening. Stale smell inside the hotel in general. Staff were overly “formal / professional” - felt almost awkward at times and didnt feel friendly. Hot breakfast for £25 not good value, continental breakfast at £17 also not good value (yoghurt, granola, canned fruit and watermelon). Good bedding, comfortable beds, but at this price I would not return.”

“This guest house is located in a fabulous spot. Close to downtown and the harbor. Room was gorgeous and had a nice view. The common kitchen and sitting area has beautiful big windows that allows for a nice tranquil place to sit and reflect on the days events. Parking, if you have a car, is easy and plentiful. I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to spend time in Oban.”

“Another fantastic stay at Aspen lodge where nothing is too much trouble and you are served amazing breakfasts. Stayed for a week and we literally had a different breakfast daily. You can eat indoors or outdoors too here. We came back for the views and location, the food and the peace and most of all the warmth and kindness and local knowledge of our host A big thankyou once again”

“Old hotel and not really clean. Hair on linen. The worst thing is no wifi connection at all because they are fixing it for days. The hotel should inform guests who want to book the hotel in advance rather than saying sorry after we arrived. Really bad experience as we are cheated.”
