Property was clean and well maintained. Everything worked, would like more towels, plastic wrap, a tub bar close to the tub to allow exiting from the high tub, a towel hook near the tub so one did not have to reach over 2 feet to get towel. I appreciated the extension bars for power everywhere to allow charging (missing in 1 bedroom) , beautiful plants in yard, my 95 year old mother had a hard time getting into the first bedroom bed could use a small step or stool or chair. Great location, easy to get to.

Cozy hideaway
2 minutes off the highway, yet feels very secluded and private. Very clean and well-equipped with everything you'll need. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend. The one problem we had was with someone doing laundry at all hours on day one. After a request for quiet on day two, they took 10 pm-6am off.

Affordable nice house in a nice neighborhood.
This is a nice house at a nice price in a nice neighborhood. I had everything I needed. The check-in process was easy - easier than checking into a hotel. The Wifi worked, the neighborhood is walkable, and everything you might need is within a few minutes drive.

Clean and well kept home with everything we needed. Only concerns were that some of the tall people in our group complained the beds were too small. Also this property is attached to another property with person(s) staying in it. Was not an issue for us but something to be aware of. Overall a great experience.

When five young adults rent the house, we strive to provide the best experience and make sure everything goes fine. The beds are standard sizes of twin, full, and queen.

The guest requested a refund just after he checked in and complained that he didn't see a dishwasher and special glasses for wine. I call it "unreal expectations". All info about the property is in the description. Special requests can be addressed and all questions answered via messages before booking. The guest didn't bother to lock the house door when he vacated.

Nice house but read house rules
Overall the home was nice but I didn't read the house rules to carefully (my mistake) and didn't realize that the house would be set to 78 deg which is way too hot for me. The owner did set it down to 74 for our stay but it still was a bit uncomfortable. So while the home is nice, I wouldn't stay there if you're not able to sleep with such a temperature. You have the option to open the windows in the evening which we did but the airflow in the home was such that the home never cooled below 74 even when the outside temperature was 64. Note the thermostat is controlled remotely. In the winter, this is not an issue but I would keep this in mind when renting in the warmer months if you are sensitive to heat. Other than the temperature, the home is clean and well kept. It's in a nice area. This was my second time renting the home but my first time was in December so the temperature was not an issue.

Guest who have special needs requirement, like temperature inside 67-70 degrees in the summer, should contact us before they make a reservation. We can adjust thermostat settings to accommodate the special requests, but to a point of being reasonable.

Great place to stay!
Staying here was great! We came in for a family wedding and it made a nice home base in between all the events. It’s close to everything we wanted and needed, and the neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. Everything we needed was in the unit. Dishes, cookware, garbage bags, soap - you name it, Alyse thought of it! The only thing that was a bit of a surprise was that we couldn’t directly adjust the air conditioning. If we wanted the temperature changed, we would have to contact the owner. We never had to do that because the house, while warmer than I would usually keep it, was never uncomfortable. All in all, I would call the climate control a quirk, not an inconvenience. I would definitely stay here again!

Hot and Uncomfortable
The house was very clean and comfortable as far as amenities but the owner lives in the back half of the house and controls the thermostat. She not only refused to turn it down but got very snippy and told me I had special needs if I wanted it set at 70. It was sweltering hot in the bedrooms and nobody could sleep well at all. the temp was 80 when we arrived and she did turn it down to 77 and even with fans and open windows it did not cool off enough for sleeping. We left 118 degrees in Arizona to cool off by the coast so we were really disappointed to not only be hot but the multiple ranting texts about how nobody in their right mind would have a house set at 70 was very disturbing. I would not stay here again and I would have given better rating if her attitude was not so nasty

The guest demanded to set up the A/C to 70 degrees in the summer, when temperature outside is about 70 in day time, as she claimed she does it in her home in Florence, AZ. We try to accommodate guests requests to make their stay the most comfortable, but to the extend of being reasonable.

Easy Access to Everything, But a Peaceful Retreat
This two bedroom, one bath home isn't large, but it's very open and roomy. It is immaculately clean, and Alyse has thought of most everything! The bathroom has a deep tub, a lovely vanity with lots of space and a wonderful tiled shower with a hand held shower head. There were coffee filters, a bag of ice, dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, bar soap and lotion...and a working hair dryer! The beds were very comfortable, although on the second night our friend traded the daybed in the guest room for the lower bunk, which she said was more comfortable. The HIGHLIGHT IS THE PATIO OFF THE KITCHEN/DINING AREA! What a peaceful spot with gazebo, barbeque, table and chairs! It was a lovely, private place for breakfast! This house is situated right off of Hwy 76 with easy access to Oceanside and about a 20 minute drive to the beach at the Oceanside Pier. We had an early morning flight out of San Diego and drove to the airport easily in one hour. It was easy to find although nestled in a very quiet neighborhood. An In-And-Out Burger and several McDonald's are within several miles (we did not cook while we were there). Check-in was seamless and there were printed instructions posted for everything! We would definitely stay here again.

Transient Lodging
Military family who just moved from the east coast. We needed five specific things and Alice’s place had them all; space, a kitchen, pet friendly, close to Camp Pendleton, and an affordable nightly rate. The only things we had an issue with were the decor and internet speed. Outdated but livable, internet speed was sufficient for streaming but with frequent buffering and often times, reduced resolution. Overall, great value!

Perfect for us
My wife and I came down to look for a house to buy and stayed 5 days. It was perfect for us: centrally located, one story, & on a cul de sac, so minimal traffic. The house has two patios, so you can sit in the sun in the morning or afternoon. You can watch cable or DVDs in the living room. And there are plenty of chairs and sofas, plus a day bed. My wife always has trouble sleeping when we travel - the mattress is either too soft or too hard. But this mattress was “just right”. The bathtub is large & deep with an ergonomic back. I recommend taking a nice soak wile you are there. The shower is strong, as well. Shampoo was supplied. The WiFi worked well. The house was centrally located, which made travelling to surrounding towns to look at houses easier. There are two shopping districts within a mile of the house with anything you you might need, including restaurants, as well as a large county park. We also brought our dog and she loved it. The streets are quiet and easy to walk around on. If you continue down Old Ranch Road, you’ll walk into a more upscale neighborhood with a fenced walking trail on both sides of the road. If you continue to the end, you’ll find a dirt path that is parallel to hwy 76 and will take you all the way to Melrose, which is the turnoff to get to the house. But you can also return to the neighborhood by taking an adjoining footpath that deposits you a block away from the house. Recommended!!

I wanted a quiet place for me & my dog while house hunting.
Alyse was the perfect Host! She allowed me to maintain the patio landscaping because I love doing it and provided a leaf blower to make it easier. The property was super clean & had everything you need for an outdoor BBQ or indoor dinner party. There was a fenced yard so my dog could spend hours outdoors. The neighbors were friendly & I got to know a few on my daily walks with my dog. Alyse was close but respected my privacy. I felt very at home.

Great home and property manager!
This home is clean and has all the amenities you would need. It is only a few minutes drive to the beach and the base. A great outdoor terrace that’s fenced in to keep pets and children safe. My family and I enjoyed our stay here! I recommend this home to anyone looking to visit Oceanside.

Oceanside home
The home was a little smaller area than I had thought, but was cozy enough for a stay. It was very convenient for grocery shopping and for going to other areas of N. Co. It was close to the main highway and except for the air-conditioner at night, was very quiet . I appreciated being able to bring my dog, and we went walking at the various parks nearby and down in Carlsbad. The home had all needed amenities, although I didn't cook too much while I was there. It had a TV with a dish network to watch also. The owner allowed me to have my space, but did reply quickly the few times I had to contact her. Enjoyed my stay and will be back if in the area again.

Over nighter
We only needed to have a place for us to stay while our boys did their athletic training for two days. It was the perfect place for us to house three teenage boys for dinner & sleeping. We had our space & they had their space with enough electronics to make everyone happy. The quiet neighborhood & setting made, what would normally be a hectic time for us, a restful time away from home.

Quiet, comfortable home base
This was a good home base for us while we visited friends and Legoland in SoCal. The beds are comfy, the kitchen is basic but useful, and the home has a beautiful outdoor area. There are grocery stores nearby, and it's pretty centrally located. I'd definitely recommend it.

Clean and Quiet
I am so glad we booked this property for our Spring Break vacation! We are a large family and loved how big this house is and how much room our kids had to play. The pictures don't do it justice; it is very large and very comfortable. It is in a quiet neighborhood and close to stores and the beach. We went to Legoland and San Diego while we stayed here and it's just a quick drive from this house to I-5. When we were researching properties to stay we were sold on this one because of the laundry amenities that our large family needs. It helped so much to get home at the end of the night and toss everyone's laundry into the large washer and dryer (lifesaver!). The owner checked in before our trip and left her number in case we needed anything but we didn't because the house was in perfect order. Owner lives on site in a separate apartment of the home but the home was always perfectly quiet when we were there. We loved staying here, thank you for having us! Ü

Comfortable, affordable, lovely home away from home!
My family and I were able to stay in this quaint Oceanside home for two months and we loved every second of it. It fit myself, my son, my daughter, and our two dogs all comfortably and without us ever feeling too cramped together. We stayed here over the holidays and my family felt right at home, very cozy and comfortable. Both yards were private and perfect for soaking in the San Diego sun. Couldn’t have asked for a better location, only a short drive away from everything we could possibly want. The owner was extremely accommodating and kept in touch on a regular basis. We will definitely be staying here again!

Very cozy and comfortable
We just stayed at this property and thoroughly enjoyed it! The washer and dryer and outside grill made planning for the week super easy. There were plenty of dishes provided as well as sufficient space for 4 of us. The courtyard was quiet and comfortable and the beautiful weather made it a must to sit outside in the evenings. We did not have many needs to reach out to the owner, but when we did she was very responsive. We felt like it was truly a home away from home.

Clean and comfortable. The house was cute and well-kept. The only downside was there is no bar in the bathroom—not usually an issue, but I was on crutches. Other than that, it was perfect for our needs. Thank you.

Nice place for a family vacation!
The place has enough space for 4 people. The neigbourhood is quiet and safe and we felt safe and relaxed here. Maybe a dishwasher in the future would round it up to have full comfort. If we come back to Cali we would book it again. The Büchlers from Germany :-)

Quiet, comfortable house
We spent a month here. This property is extremely comfortable and is located in a quiet area. The home is well-equipped with a big queen bed, a set of bunkbeds, a trundle bed and a day bed. It has wi-fi, DirecTV and Netflix. There are games and books. There are two patios with chairs, benches, tables and umbrellas. The kitchen is well-stocked with dishes, glasses, silverware and cooking utensils. The owner was available by phone and text if we needed anything. We loved our stay!
