Within the clicker- or keypad-activated gated, secure and renowned boutique-residence beach club, Sea Star #24 provides guests with a quiet, pristine, desirable community and geographic setting just over four miles removed from the cacophony of the crowds, bars, airport traffic, tourist enticements and high-rise or spartan accommodations that might not have air conditioning in E V E R Y room. The island consists of two parts---the Dutch side and the French side---identified by border markers but requiring no passport for passage. Conveniently located on the Dutch side near the French border within the pristine, affluent region consisting of the Dawn Beach/Oyster Pond/Oyster Bay area, Condo SeaStar 24 provides the safety and security guests seek while traveling to the islands with free, gated courtyard parking outside and private walkway access to Dawn Beach (no hikes, drives or streets to cross to get to the beach!). Electrical current is American, so there is no need to borrow an electrical-current converter for your personal electric shaver, cell phone or hairstyling appliances.

The condo sleeps up to TWO ADULTS AND UP TO TWO CHILDREN (under 12) or a third adult with a king-sized plush Premiere Euro bed in the master bedroom, an en suite full bath and a queen-sized sofa bed in the living area, with a half bath conveniently located right off the living area. Private, in-condo washer and dryer are provided exclusively for SeaStar Condo guest use. The exterior three-sided wrap-around gallery (balcony) has a teak bistro table, two chairs and a small gas-grill. The fully-equipped gourmet kitchen has everything you need for that perfect meal. The condo has central air (November 2017-installed Daiken SEER-18 high efficiency ducted A/C inverter system) to ensure your comfort in EVERY room. Electric service is 120v (vs. the French side's 220v european electrical service).

English is the predominant language on the Dutch side, and many ex-pat Americans call St. Maarten home. Dutch Gilders (NAF) are as readily accepted as is American currency and exchange is easily translated at point-of-purchase at shops, restaurants and grocery stores.

Currency on the French side is predominantly Euros, but many shops accept American dollars at the same rate as Euros while others will facilitate a conversion and, sometimes an upcharge (depending upon market value).

There are many wonderful eateries on both the Dutch and French sides of the island that your hosts and other guests have enjoyed. Menu samples are arranged in a notebook reference guide located in the Condo or you can ask the concierge for other recommendations. Experience the local island flavors at Fatboy Jimmy's BBQ (across from GEBE Electric in Philipsburg, right in the public parking lot), and other local fare including all-you-can-eat ribs at Mark's Place in Phillipsburg, or delightful breakfast fare at La Sucrere or Reveil Matin jn Simpson Bay. Don't miss the baguettes offered at numerous bakeries--including the best FRENCH bread at Bread & Butter next to the L'Oasis Restaurant just a fifteen-minute walk or short drive over the border from the condo!

Discerning travelers make it a point to thoroughly assess the various parts of any island to insure their choice is a GOOD one, and to avoid the disappointment of learning that the photos didn't tell the whole story about location, amenities, lodging comfort and cleanliness, security, local restaurants, the overall environs/neighborhood and easy beach/pool access.
