The place is surrounded by tranquil nature but the town is very close by and the closest shop and restaurant are in a walking distance. The hosts were really nice and helpful and provided us everything we needed for a lovely holiday. Everthing is also very clean and well organized. The atmosphere in this place is unique. We would love to go again.”

“This is a really lovely property: large, modern, beautiful, comfortable. It is in a small village, and is 1-2 hours away from many wonderful Portugal experiences, including, the sea shore, Douro Valley, Porto, Schist Villages, Tomar (must see the Templar castle there), Fatima, and more. As Americans, we were happy to drive and have a great home base to return to each day. Steve is a wonderful host. Definitely choose this property if you can.”

“Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit. Unsere Vermieter Jack und Dina waren zuvorkommend und sehr lieb zu uns und unseren Kindern. Besonders zu erwähnen sind der saubere Pool und der Whirlpool der zu jeder Zeit benutzt werden durfte. Vielen Dank für diese schöne Urlaubswoche.”

“Wij hadden geluk dat we de eerste dagen alleen waren in het huis. Geen andere bewoners in de andere huizen. Op deze locatie heb je een auto nodig. Alles is toch een 20 tal minuten rijden. Van hieruit hebben wij mooie plekjes bezocht. Zoals Aveiro, Praia nova (echt aanraders) Nazaré en Péniche. Coimbra stad. Belhem....echt een hele mooie regio. Dan hebben we de lagune nog niet eens kunnen bezoeken. Wij komen terug. En dan huren we alle appartementen met gans de familie!”

“The part of the house where we stayed was above charming. The pictures don’t do it justice. It was a pleasure to come back after a day of house hunting. Denise was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the entire area and kept us well supplied with wood for the little stove. It was so quiet, only the goat’s bells, the birds and the wind to be heard. The wonderful king sized bed was hugely appreciated. Like living in the 17th century with benefits!
