“It was nice stay and spacious cottage. Some stuff in kitchen was worn out and wasn’t good enough for four people. Beautiful cottage next to river.”

“A lovely cottage in a peaceful location. Lovely hosts and very accommodating to our family and doggies. Would definitely visit again!”

“This is a cracking flat within a short walk of Dumfries town centre. From the outside, the flats don’t look too inspiring, but it’s clearly been renovated recently and it’s been done really nicely. The two rooms are pretty much identical doubles, and the living room/kitchen is a good size. Nice views of the river from most rooms, and a lovely small balcony coming off the main living area. Would definitely come back if in the area.”

“Heating and hot water.”

“Well appointed with all the amenities we could want, and more. Spotless throughout, plus a very comfortable bed. The most beautiful setting in a storybook village! I came here to see and experience where my great grandmother was born, and was overwhelmed with the beauty of this very special place! I will never forget Rowan Cottage and Wanlockhead!! ”

“Property well presented with every thing you would require for your stay. Disappointed that although stated there was a garden there was no secure outside space. As I had stated that I would be bringing a dog this was an important factor on booking for me. I think the lack of garden should be made clear on your site.”

“Very nice newly decorated cottage. Very clean and tidy. Easy to find quiet location.”
