The front door was nearby but this is not sufficient to allow toxic fumes to escape or any other cooking smells. The bathroom also did not have any exhaust fan. The TV was very basic and didn't even have freeview. I requested to check in 1 hour earlier but was told that I would only be a be able to book in earlier if I paid for an extra night. It is difficult to get flights from the Eastern States that line up with the 3 hour time difference so I would expect some flexibility in the check-in time. This lower floor apartment was clean and functional., and the kitchen was well equipped with a good stove and fridge. But overall it was very spartan and drab, and could be improved enormously with some brightening up. The small back patio needs attention, it was not clean and the plants were dead or dying. It did not tempt you to sit out at the nice table and chairs that are out there. These are all simple and inexpensive things that could be fixed if there was a will to do so. What can’t be fixed is the very noisy traffic, and the neighbours doing DIY outside.
